Today we get the British students to try Korean Navy Rations. Korean Navy rations consisted of fried rice, meatballs, kimchi, and "pound cakes". Which one was their favourite? That's actually true though. Not every ration is good and tastes better. The reason that Korean rations taste good is because the government really did their best to provide quality good food for the solders. It's nice.

My heart just melted. Harvey used both hands to handshake the Lt. The boys were entirely respectful while eating the MRE. That’s what I really like about them since day 1.

In East Asia, it is polite to bend down and shake hands with both hands. However, it is proper for ARMYs, even if they are low-ranking people, to shake hands with their superiors with one hand without bending their waist. We learn that way, and even newly enlisted recruits are taught that it is the right way to do it by higher ranks

The Korean MRE tastes better, but it's very bulky and there are apparently only 3 different meals, so soldiers get bored of it really quickly. Also, you don't always get the time to sit down and eat, so I bet it's not uncommon to just inhale the sausages and meatballs on the go without heating them up. Which is why western MRE usually come with a bunch of snacks and stuff that you can just eat on the go.

He was the ONLY PERSON who cleaned up after himself after eating and thanked the chef, Gabie, Josh's wife when they went to their shop to eat toast. Harvey has great manners. Yikes, my favs Harvey and Nati tasting the food together! So happy! This is a sign. We need a separate series with the 2 of them to get to know them much better. Exactly! I wish they highlight that a bit longer. Based on other comments I've read, it's apparently an elite squadron so the effort to even get them to film that is a different scale. I'm sure it's not a daily routine and was put together for this series. Typically, you get this aerial show for most important holidays like Memorial or Foundation day.

harvey는 천천히 오래보다보니 매력이 있네요~ ㅎ 고등학생때는 친구랑 늘 같이 명랑하게 나와서 잘먹고 잘웃고 그냥 평범한 친구같았는데... 시간이 흐를수록 차분하고 예의바르게 자기 의사표현을 하고 상대방이 기분 상하지않게 배려하는 모습이 참보기좋네요 : )

(a circle divided into two swirling sections, one red and one blue) For those who are interested - the red section represents the positive cosmic forces, while the blue section stands for the negative cosmic forces. @John_Harrison_ Yes, the English word yin-yang is directly from the Chinese language/ancient texts, but the concept itself is a very, very ancient Eastern philosophy. In Korean language, it is called it Eum-Yang (음양). It represents the idea of the cosmic balance of dark and light, negative and positive. The literal meaning of Tae-geuk is grand/big (tae) polars/opposites/extremes (geuk), and the central emblem on the Korean flag (blue & red instead of black & white) represents the origin of the universe that creates and develops everything in existence through the interaction of dark/negative and light/positive forces. (The whole design of the Korean flag is meant to depict the principles of how the universe works.) Sorry, I hope that clears any confusion. 😉

날짜가 진해 군항제에 겹친듯 공군 협찬이 아니라 우연히 공군 블랙이글스 온 날에 촬영한듯 실제로 저 날 하루종일 시끄러워서 귀 떨어질 뻔 했는데 ㅎㅎ 영국남자가 온 줄도 몰랐네 ㅋㅋ

여기서 안나온게 있다면 저 파운드 케이크도 발열팩 안에 넣어서 같이 하면서 초콜릿도 같이 녹여서 나중에 부드러워진 파운드 케이크와 녹은 초콜릿을 파운드 케이크 위에 소스처럼 뿌려서 먹으면 훨씬 먹을만 합니다 만약 우유까지 있으면 금상첨화가 다름 없죠

Seeing the lads interact with Koreans is my favourite aspect of these videos, like when Max and Armand spoke to the elderly people, when they worked in the convenience shop and spoke to that delightful idol lady whose name I’ve suddenly forgotten. And when Nati was showing his Korean reading skills. Oh and of course when all the lads went to a Korean school! I want so much more of that!

저기서 나온 전투식량 진짜 맛있습니다. 저도 작년에 전역해서 먹어봤는데 정말 맛있습니다. 구전투식량 먹어보신 분들이면 제 말에 공감하실거라 생각합니다😅😅 개인적으로 저기에 나온 반찬 그냥 다 비벼먹으면 찐또베기입니다.😊😊

TBH MREs are pretty hard to get... and most of the time it's treated like a military ammo under restrictions, unless it's the commercialised ones

I love the good-cop/bad-cop strategy here... Let these lads live off of rations for a meal or two, and then hopefully in a couple days, boom... hit em' with another round of unforgettable samgyeopsal from a master chef 😂 (but honestly, these look way decent for rations, to me....)

I'm grateful that military rations have improved over the decades. When my grandfather was in World War 2, he said the rations basically became demoralizing in their repetition and quality. And of course, so often they had to be eaten cold. Once his artillery unit set up camp somewhere in Italy, and he found a wild plant which he was certain was pokeweed, also called poke salad or poke sallet. It's quite common here in the southern US, so he was familiar. The discovery was so happily received by the camp, he was assigned nothing but cooking the poke sallet for three days.

I can't believe that the time to let go of this series and these precious young gents is approaching so fast. Their videos have been my constant comfort and go-to whenever I feel stress or wornout or needed something to make me smile. Harvey and Natti's awestruck face with the jets. Beautiful sight. 💖
