In this video, I tell you about 33 Vocabulary Differences between American English and British English. There are so many words to call the same things, and if you want to know them, this lesson is for you. #britishvsamerican
I’ve never been to the United States, but American accent has been a passion of mine for many years.I started working on my English pronunciation when I was 15: I practiced both British accent and American accent at the same time. I recommend listen and mimic the way native speakers speak, and there are some tips which help you to sound more naturally and confidently.

British people use Pop or Fizzy Pop in the North of England and the Midlands. Americans generally use the words bell peppers or sweet peppers. British people say peppers I'd use my North American English liquor store or beer store for ABC store. In British English, "highway" is primarily a legal term. Everyday use normally implies roads, while the legal use covers any route or path with a public right of access, including footpaths etc. The term apartment is favored in North America (although in some Canadian cities, flat is used for a unit which is part of a house containing two or three units, typically one to a floor). In the UK, the term apartment is more usual in professional real estate and architectural circles where otherwise the term flat is used commonly, but not exclusively, for an apartment on a single level (hence a "flat" apartment). in American English sofa and couch can be used interchangeably.
