3. SOUNDBITE (English) Nicky Perry, Tea & Sympathy:
Sad, sad, sad. Shocked. No. You just didn't think this woman was ever going to die. And, you know, she's been that figurehead for longer than I've been alive, and we've all grown up with her and that family. So it's like a family member's gone something in this."

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Nicky Perry, Tea & Sympathy:
"That's quite shocking to me. And if you think about it, we're going to be singing God Save the King instead of the God Save the Queen for many years to come now, because it will be William and then it'll be William's son after Charles. So no more Queen."

5. SOUNDBITE (English) Nicky Perry, Tea & Sympathy:
"I just hope to goodness that Prince Charles is going to try at least follow his mother's footsteps. But those are some big footsteps."
6. Queen Elizabeth II banner
7. SOUNDBITE (English) Millie Gibbons, New York resident:
"I mean, being a little girl and growing up with the Queen as someone to look up to, and especially because I share personally similar interests to the Queen. I am a horse rider my self. I actually road side saddle in front of the Queen when I was 13 years old. So having a female figure to look up to my whole life has been monumental."
8. SOUNDBITE (English) Molly Carew, New York resident:
"I'm not quite ready to sing God Save the King, that's for sure. It seems a bit funny coming out of my mouth, to be honest. It's always been God save the Queen. So it'll be interesting as that moves forwards with the impending coronation."
9. Man moving cardboard cutout of the queen
