I live in South Carolina and we use some of these but also have our own language...which if you’re watching Southern Charm you will hear a lot of the South!!

Texas isn’t really southern southern, it’s more like Arizona and southern Cali. These sayings are more normally found in Georgia, Alabama, Virginia and Florida

In the UK, commodes are like chair/potty’s that elderly people, in old folks homes for example, would use if they have limited mobility and can’t make it to the toilet themselves. Obviously derived from the old English term 🤣🤣

I’m Mexican-American and grew up in west Texas and I didn’t know until recently that “being ugly” was southern slang. I always thought it was just Mexican or Chicano slang because of how often we said it growing up

Carly you’re correct some places call them crawdads, while other places call them crayfish, or crawfish. I grew up hearing my grandpa say crawdads so that’s what I refer them to.
