I brought a really beautiful body wash and body moisturiser to hospital which seemed silly at the time but that first shower after birth was so lush, I was so glad for that tiny bit of pampering!

You should make a video after giving birth with all the stuff you didn’t use from the hospital bag. You have a bit of fairytale vision of it all, which is cute - I had that too, but then reality hits. Make-up and skincare will be the least of your worries 😂

this is a bit rude.. she’s allowed to bring makeup and skincare, lots of moms do and it doesn’t mean their living in a fairytale. you’re allowed to care what you look like while you’re giving birth, god forbid a mother do something for herself during such an important moment in her life 🙄

i packed my bag fairly similarly and used pretty much everything except for makeup! i would also HIGHLY recommend a robe! nursing clothes are nice, but a robe makes it so much easier! just pull it off to the side for super easy access to the boob 😊

generally you aren’t allowed to eat while in labor, so keep that in mind! the hospital may provide a lot of this stuff (the diapers, wipes, meds, peri bottle, tucks, dermaplast, socks) if you don’t want to bring it. and if you do decide to dress her in the hospital, make sure the outfits are easily accessible because babies get poked and prodded and checked on a lot. the nurses will teach you how to swaddle if you don’t know how :) after three kids i barely took anything to the hospital last time, but i always bring my own undies and pads. you got this! so happy and excited for you.

I wore boy short undies and they worked fine with the pads! I used those and some of the others. They all worked as long as they are tight and stretchy like the ones you showed! You definitely did your research, girl! Everything in your bag matches what I had so similarly and I swear I regretted nothing! I loved feeling so prepared. My bag was the one thing I felt I could control, haha. I wanted to make sure I was comfy. I also brought these slippers that are basically socks with a hard bottom. I got mine from Walmart, it’s a pair of 2 for $8! One cheetah pair and one black pair I believe. You could totally use them!! I’m loving the shirt you’re wearing.. now I’m on the hunt!!

The diapers and wipes are a great bring. At least at the hospital I was in; they only had size one diapers and they were HUGE! I wish I brought more newborn diapers. I feel like they tell you not to get a lot of newborn stuff but my baby was in newborn clothes and diapers for the first month! Anyways best of luck to you! I’m so so excited for you! It’s the most magical experience 💕❤️

Love your diaper bag 😍😍. Also something to keep in mind your baby is used to being in the womb at a 97-99 degree temp. So newborns still need to be some what bundled up until they regulate their temperature.

Definitely recommend packing a breast pump if you’re planning to breast feed! Some hospitals do have one available but it’s always best to have your own 🤗💕

Natalie Johansson some baby’s take awhile to latch and some baby never do , so you need to pump. Also you will be in a lot of pain if you produce more milk then your baby can drink .

I would recommend moving the the snacks to a different bag. You can’t eat during labor, and you may not want to taunt yourself with the snacks.

Hey babe! I will say you may want a nursing gown option if you don’t wanna wear the hospital one. They want access to your you know what all throughout labor and if you tear or something like I did after as well so they don’t want you wearing pants! Just a thought! I’d also say it was really nice taking a shower especially PP so I would totally recommend it and their toiletries sucked I wish I had brought a shower cap cause I didn’t wash my hair either just loads up on dry shampoo!!! Also bring your own pillow IDK of all hospitals are like this but at mine the pillows were awful! And laptop/ headphones ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Definitely wear those flip flops around anywhere you go. I've got one toenail that has not recovered from walking on the postpartum floors ONE time, and it's been a year since I had my son.

Body armor drinks don’t really help production. It’s all about staying hydrated. Plus they are loaded with sugar. There are so many other options that help with milk production that are healthier and “work” much better! But hydration is key!

The sugar count is not that high on body armor...and they do help with hydration, meaning they will help with production. Also remember that every experience is different. Every mama needs help a different way with breastfeeding.

Most of them have coconut water which does help with production because most people are dehydrated that’s why they have issues milking

Bring more food! A lot of hospital cafeterias are closed right now because of the pandemic. Also every time I asked for water after I gave birth, they would only give me a tiny little cup. So bring a large reusable water bottle for them to fill for you!😁👍🏼

If you deliver at cedar Sinai they have pampers which is pretty good, it stays drier inside than coterie diapers. I thought because coterie diapers say they are absorbent they would be dry inside but they are very very wet. They also don’t seem to breathe well

Ima tell you guys this .. Thhe only thing you need in your hospital bag are some grip socks, comfortable pjs and or robe, some panties to old that pad nice and securely, nursing bra, your necessary toiletries ( makeup, toothpaste, hairbrush etc.), head band or head ties, chap stick, phone charger, snacks, and a going home outfit for baby!! everything else is UNNCESSARY!

Going poo after having a baby was terrifying for me, I was in so much pain down there after I had my first born. I had to be cut and stitched up, you have some great stuff for Labour and delivery.

I admire how incredibly organized you are. I was hospitalized at 33 weeks, had steroid shots and still was under the impression I had until 40 weeks to give birth. I was hospitalized a second time and had to give birth at 34 weeks with no hospital bag

I’m a boy mom pregnant with baby #2.. 32 weeks pregnant! Daddy should definitely bring his own bag with 2-3 pairs of clothes and pajamas, snacks, a charger, his wallet with his info, cash for vending machines, toothbrush, toothpaste, pillow, and blanket so he can be comfortable, socks, and deodorant, and a face mask!

I would ask your doctor about using the drops. I asked mine last time around and they said to stay away from them as the contractions after birth are to get your uterus back into place.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I packed everything early by the time I was actually giving birth my mother in law unpacked everything on me and my husband brang a half empty suit case it was a disaster had to wait 3 hours to beable to clean the baby and get her nice a comfortable this time around I'm making sure everything is there before I leave the house this video was so helpful I'm going to be breastfeeding and pumping for the first time still educating myself 💕

My daughter was born in august and I packed similar clothes for her but unfortunately she got so cold on the first night that my sister had to rush to my place to get warmer pj's for her. Now I know for my next one : hospitals are cold!

I am having my third in the summer and I wish hospital would provide something. You don’t get peri bottle, dermaplast, diapers nor wipes. They don’t give you any mesh underwear and you definitively not go back home with goodies. I packed a lot of clothes for me for my first and I am glad I did because we spent one week at the hospital. I runned out of pads and my sister got me a big bag when she went to visit us. I recommend everyone to bring a roll of toilet paper. After delivery, I could not handle the rough one we got. I also bring towels to wash myself and especially flip flop for the shower. I bring slippers that I throw away with the flip flop in the trash before leaving. I bought some cheap dollar store one because I would not bring home all the bacterias of the dirty floors on mine. I would definitively go get the peri bottle and the dermaplast to bring to the hospital with me.

My hospital told me to bring my own nappies wipes pads blankets etc they wrapped him up in there blankets at first I had to get my partner to get more nappies wipes etc had my son 4 years ago trying for baby #2 I ended up having a c section
