Because she used her celebrity status to get released from Russia while other lesser known Americans are still imprisoned overseas for petty crimes like Griner's. I am still against that decision and it has nothing to do with Griner. I was appalled that her celebrity status was enough for Americans to swap prisoners by giving Russia a dangerous man that should have been kept imprisoned by America. What a joke. It has nothing against Griner. It's the situation that happened around that time and USA ignoring all the other imprisoned Americans that have been imprisoned MUCH MUCH LONGER THAN GRINER WAS.
