@@wagner_108 Butcher fought Homelander for like 10 seconds before he got saved by Soldier Boy. Soldier Boy and butcher had a more prolonged confrontation, that's why there was a clear victor. It's canon in the show that Homelander is stronger than Soldier Boy. It's stated multiple times by multiple people. Ill begin thinking better when you begin thinking.

If Soldier Boy was as strong as y'all think, they'd have him kill Homelander the old fashioned way. Instead, their only hope is taking away his powers with the chest beam.

Homelander is the literal upgrade of Soldier Boy so he wouldn’t lose to him. The proof is that Soldier Boy needed Billy and Hughie for help against Homelander.

Wrong. Soldier boy is really close to homelander's strength. Soldier boy was weakened in the herogqsm. Homelander was scared of Soldier boy after the herogasm fight, and needed an entire pep talk from himself in the mirror. Even then, homelander was scared to fight Soldier boy and thus resorted to the family card in the finale. Homelander knows if soldier boy's beam hits him once he's dead
