I saw her last night in Dallas Tx! She had grown men in the audience crying… crying. Had me getting overwhelmed even. Anita is THEE TRUTH! Her voice is no less than force of nature… something supernatural. I don’t know how she performed at other venues but last night in Dallas, I’m 100% certain she EXCEEDED EVERY ATTENDEES EXPECTATION. …grown men crying! I’m not a religious person but feel truly ‘blessed” to have had the opportunity to hear her live. What she’s offering us is the definition of “soul music” in a time that it barely even exists anymore. I felt so healed listening to her.

Her voice is like an instrument. She can’t be replicated.

I was at the concert too and it was such a joy to watch her belt out those notes. I took my niece (30) and cousin (30) who only knew 1 or 2 of her songs. After the concert, they wanted to purchase her entire catalog. To say they enjoyed themselves was an understatement.

In the 80's When Ms. Baker started her career as you can see as The Audience sings Her music is an Indication it is Timeless!

That voice of Anita Baker has gotten even more beautiful now than back in the day!! She definitely has alot of energy.. Back in the day, she would stand in one spot with her long beautiful gown on, and sing her heart out on "SOUL TRAIN"!!

True Talent can hold your attention throughout a 2-hour performance just by singing, with no rump shaking, no half naked costumes, and without any Broadway productions. They don't need it. I remember back in the early 2000s an Anita Baker song came on the radio. I remember telling my mother how great Anita Baker was and I remember my mother saying yes her voice was like velvety smooth and warm. My mother passed away in 2008 and everytime I hear Anita sing I think of that moment we were together listening to her.

She sings riffs, scants, improvise, whilst maintaining an impeccable soprano vibrato and range with her eclectic vocal style. Her vocal control reminds me of the late Sarah Vaughan. Additionally- her background singers and instrumentalists are phenomenal. Lastly- her audience seem to immensely enjoy Anita Baker as they joyfully sang the lyrics and melodies with her.

Anita Baker's vocal mastery and talent cannot be matched to this day. The last time I had the privilege of seeing her live was at the Front Row Theatre near Cleveland, Ohio. She performed along with a line-up of Jazz artists. The theater had a revolving stage and not a bad seat in the house. I'm looking forward to seeing the Queen Songstress live this year.

Very few artists have what I call “Timeless Music” - music that I listened to when it came out in ‘85 or so and I still play it on a regular basis today. Anita Baker is one those artists and Sade is the other. Their music is timeless, ageless, and pure audio art.

Anita’s voice is recognizable anywhere. She is still coming back on top. I wish I had been there. I have got to see her this year!
