I make the Rabe... but I steam the Rabe b4 I fry. I find the steaming makes it as tender as you want it to be. And I put the finished product on the Portudo & mozzarella sandwich on the semolina bread

Not broccoli, sure. But “at all?” Wrong. Broccoli, kale, broccoli rabe/rapini, Brussel sprouts, and cabbage were all selectively bred from the same plant from the classical period through the middle ages.

I had this at a restaurant but they were still quite tough and i wanted to eat them because they tasted really good but i couldnt because it was so hard to chew :(
