This really hit a nostalgia button for me. I stopped playing at this era as a kid 20 or so years ago, and Sneezels, Dark Energies, and Brock's Ninetales are literally the last cards I traded for. I'll visit my mom during the weekend to see if I can find my old cards. Good stuff haha

there were a BIT of misplays on Mr. Mahone’s end (19:43 with the no shuffle and another later on i forgot about), but all is forgiven... ig... totally just teasing! love these old formats

Brock’s Ninetales was a fun deck idea, but the problem was it just got destroyed by Muk. This format never really had a good way to deal with Muk, as far as I know. So if your deck relied on Pokémon Powers and you ran into a Muk, you were just screwed.

Ugh, I wish they'd reprint all these cards instead of just a few of them like they did in Celebrations. I'm happy to have easy access to Rocket Zapdos, for example, but it would be great to be able to get everything needed at a price that's not insane.

i remember the base set Neo format like it was yesterday. Sneasel was never a threat honestly, slowking, rockets zapdos, metal chansey ruled. I myself was more of a Lt surge electabuzz/rockets zapdos kinda guy. i laughed at sneasel decks.

I won't complain about flipping tails again after seeing his horrible luck with beat up. Anyway cool decks. Been thinking about running a beat up deck with Muk thrown in for matchups like this. Or goop gas attack. Would have to test both variations.

I love the live action tabletop stuff but you should take a look at tabletop simulator! Omnipoke has been using it for testing and I think it works very well on video! Anyways thanks for another great video :)

I don't understand how Brock's Protection works on Steelix... Brock's Ninetales ability reads that you should treat the Ninetales as the new card "INSTEAD". By those means, it loses the "Brock's" moniker and the Trainer wouldn't work.

It only works when you put the protection onto the Vulpix or Ninetales before Shapeshifting - you can't lay it on an already Shapeshifted Steelix.

Great games, but it could be a little shorter the video! I mean, the first game of the bo3 was already long, it showed a lot of the decks anyways. Thx and keep up the good work!

Why would they shorten the video by not showing the game in its entirety? Not for nothing, but if that’s what they did I wouldn’t even watch.

@@nickfanzo I meant just showing one long game was good enough for the video. They showed the Bo3 match and the video was 1h15m long, I think it could be shorter. The other alternative was making an edit cut without some thinking times, but its a hard work.

I hate living in the country. There is nobody anywhere close to play with. I miss pokemon tcg soo bad. I started with yellow and red blue silver gold all that then came the tcg. I had sooo many cards that r worth a lot now. Im sad :( idc abt the price i lost i just miss my cards :( all my pokemon and yugioh all were stolen :'(
