You have to put a wiremesh grill/window for ventilation. It is this window that we use curtains/gunia to control unit temperature and air circulation. So it is a must

Well presented and informative . As a chemical supplier for Detergent and Disinfectants i felt that much is needed to be stressed on cleaning of the chicken run as it is important to prevent infection to the birds . Loved it

What if you have built a complete cement building with windows for the chickens? Is that disadvantageous?

Yes it is extremely disadvantageous coz there's no ventilation at all and your chicks die more especially after 3rd week going forward. It's a risk you don't want to take
