Great work, I got a Amana Tool - 46473 like you use to use as finish pass but have question. When I run the preview on my Vetric software it shows the finish path with circles in the inside corners. a regular vbit will leave crisp clean areas in the corners areas. do you see on your preview software the same thing . it does not look like it carves it that way from your videos. i have not actually ran it on wood to see.

Hi Nik I had a question about your use of the 46473, When I preview using this bit i VCarve it doesn't look right on either the male or female parts. But when I use the 45611 the previews look clear and crisp. What do you do special to make the carving bit work like the engraving bit.

Awesome board! 1. What CNC do you use? 2. When you’re CNCing away the waste after gluing the inlay pieces? Why do you use such a small bit to clean it up? It seems like if you used a large flattening bit it’d go much quicker.
@kaden56

In my experience a larger diameter bit when clearing something like this is just a higher chance of something chipping or breaking. Slow and steady is my preference on delicate stuff like this.

A facing bit uses a lower rpm, smaller faster end mill has a lesser chance of ripping.

Have watched so many videos, and still don't know what bit/endmills you ended up with, but the better question is how are you clamping your inlays? I understand it's v-carve inlay, but to get that much detail you have to have .... 1. A very accurate machine 2. A very dialed in accurate machine 3. A VERY good option for clamping. 4. High quality bits. Maybe 15 degree V? 5. See # 3 AS you never show your version of clamping the inlays, I would imagine you have a setup to do it with a floor press, maybe 20 ton. They're cheap as chips at Harbour Freight. Just hammering them in does not work. Glue and wood expands.
