Two suggestions from Destiny of the Daleks: in War of the Daleks, there's a convoluted explanation for how Skaro wasn't destroyed and in (I think) The Lying Witch In The Wardrobe, Romana was apparently locked in the TARDIS while it impersonated her for the episode.

Starting point for faction paradox is gonna be weird to find considering how they literally exist within a single week, and how they just laugh at chronology in general, their existence alone is one skin to what I imagine the could have been king and his army of meanwhiles and neverweres is like.

I have delved into Faction Paradox a bit. I managed to read The Ancestor Cell and have it make some sense. That then leads into the Earthbound arc where the Doctor loses his memory (again lol). I think Alien Bodies, Unnatural History, Interference Books 1 and 2, The Taking of Planet 5 (which is atrocious by the way), Shadows of Avalon, The Ancestor Cell and The Gallifrey Chronicles are the key texts.

The Day of the Doctor novel is genuinely among my favourite books of all time. It's absolutely amazing, I need more Moffat novels

I recall that there was a Brief Encounter short story in DWM, where the Third Doctor went to a cinema, during his exile, and watched the Cushing Dr. Who movies. It was quite a fun scene. Sorry, I can’t remember the issue number.
