Bronchial thermoplasty uses thermal energy (the energy which comes from heat) to reduce the size of the muscle associated with airway constriction in asthma patients.

I have been an RRT for NINETEEN YEARS and I have never assisted a pulmonologist with this type of procedure. In fact, I have NEVER heard of this procedure. What a HUGE injustice to my patience AND MYSELF - as a severe asthmatic with two previous intubations in my teenage years. WOWWWW! I now hold an MBA-HCM degree and perhaps I can now advocate for patients and EXPECT real changes. THANK YOU for sharing this video!

K.P. Buteyko once said that: To test the validity of the scientific discovery made by us almost 30 years ago, it takes 30 seconds of time: offer an asthmatic hyperventilation - he will have a suffocation attack, offer to reduce breathing - will relieve the attack. The cause of the asthma attack is hyperventilation of the lungs, no one said this before our scientific research. And so I have been asking scientists for 30 years to spend 30 seconds to check this (1986).

You will still have attacks, but they will probably be minimal impact because you are not closing up anymore. My worry is you fix one area and then it starts happening in another one.
