Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)

Percutaneous coronary intervention is a non-surgical method used to open narrowed coronary arteries that supply the heart muscle with blood. The blocked coronary arteries are opened with a balloon and stabilized with a stent.

Will the plaque dissolve after this procedure? Or it'll just prevent the plaque from blocking the blood flow?

But couldn’t the arterie burst from being expanded or at the least hurt? There has to be some sort of bad repercussions for expanding it like that…

اليوم كان اول يوم لي كممرضة بقسم القلب وتو جيت بنام الساعة ٨ بعد صلاة العشاء لأن “المفروض” خلصت حياتي لليوم.. بس لا، المنتور حقتي قررت فجأة انها تسوي لي مخطط حياة ثاني وترسل لي اذاكر واعرف ايش هو PCI و ايش هو CAG في وقت نومي🤏🏼
