its not necessarily about the lyrics of her songs and her obscene behavior but what everything represents together, all of it embodies freedom, sexuality and creativity.. she really inspires me, honestly. I wouldnt feel comfortable doing what she does but i definitely feel the energy she gives. Art isnt supposed to make sense, its supposed to make you feel things and thats what she does.

People seem to be misunderstanding what she's trying to get across in her image/music. She's essentially saying that women can and SHOULD be sexual beings too, period. It has nothing to do with making yourself a 'sex object'. It's about taking control of your sexuality and owning it - just as men do - it really shouldn't be any different for women.
@kjanovich5 жыл бұрын
men and women both need to take the kind of control of their sexuality that has more to do with having a little shame, and treating themselves as unobtainable, rather than spread around and open "sexual beings" its sick. women shouldnt be trying to emulate mens wrong ideas, they should be doubly more virtious and set an example. i do my best to act with a little humility, and to treat women with more respect than they show themselves. think before you speak a little bit huh, you sound kinda ignorant, and i mean that the most respectfully as i can. just sayin (:

I like what she says but her songs/acts don't reflect it... Like she says she knows Idiocracy but thinks the opposite is happening to this generation while I think we're really close to that. And the music is going the same way: It is always more wicked, dark and less melodic, there is less music there. And she is a product anyway, she uses the very same symbolism, clothing and styles, ideas, hypersexualization that is everywhere in the industry. Nothing new as always.

Could you explain how your latest creations are empowering to people? Since the latest tracks I heard seem to propagate and glamorize the same "message" like mainstream music usually does, like possessing expensive stuff makes one superior and other tracks seem to be adjusted to fit in with the demands of the music industry. And their interest is definitely not for the greater good of the people but profit oriented and doesn't gets in the way of governmental injustices but in a sense is serving the government by keep the status quo of society intact. Would be sad if fame had a bliiiiiiiinded by the liiiiiiiiight kind of effect on you as a revolutionary artist that definitely has the potential to spread a more deep message then pop artist do.

I hope everyone understands here that "Not giving a fuck" does not mean being careless about the world and not considering others opinions as that actually may help in certain situations. What it is, do not be so cautious about who you are and what you like to do. If it really makes you happy, then don't be so cautious and aware of people's opinions but also the closest ones may hold back at first and have negative comments but if they love you enough, they will eventually support you. I hope everyone understand this so we don't have crazy careless fucks irregulate the society!!

The things she is saying, such as being yourself and that love is the answer is all really great and positive. But all her videos and the way she produces herself highly contradicts any good message she is "trying to spread". She says she is trying to not spread the same negativity as the industry, but her music is doing the exact same thing. She says she is real, but I can see a lot of bullshit. It seems like she is promoting a really self destructive life style and way of thinking with her music and then masking it as something pure. Anyway, I don't mean to offend any fans. I'm just trying to listen to what my gut tells me. If you don't agree, that is totally fine and I respect that. If you're on the fence maybe this will make you think more about what an artist is selling you. Have a good day everyone!

It's all her choice. Naturally, that doesn't resonate with everyone. That's impossible. But to her, true freedom is being allowed to put on the clothes and the makeup she likes, sing the music she likes, and portray herself as she likes. It comes from a big concept in the gay community (which she is a part of) which entails creating your own family when your birth one throws you away, or changing your body to correlate to how you feel inside, and the freedom to do so. I couldn't be happier for her.
@agogoko10 жыл бұрын
CooL Girl.......great intentions....but... her music...more to the point her lyrics,the videos....there is no evidence of her revolutionary vision there,'till now its like the same bunch of artists that only show ..... empty vulgarity.......dont get me wrong i think she is capable to be that conscious artist that she has in mind....is just not quiet there yet (as she talks she is)..but she will get there.... ;) THE REVOLUTION STARTS WITH OURSELVES FIRST....although ... she is doing what she really loves and she is happy you can tell...AND THATS WHAT REALLY MATTERS...

I've noticed a lot of "artists" jumping on the "I support gays" bandwagon to glean fans and followers. Brooke isn't the first, Lady Gaga isn't the first. On another note, I understand Brooke is trying to say that people should be who they want to be but, there is a lot to be said for growing, maturing, and actually helping your fellow man versus rapping about titties and dicks and strippers.

I enjoy her message but how she executes it is slightly conflicting to me. I feel that women should be able to express individuality and exercise their sexual rights with out being called a whore, but I feel like there might be different ways to execute this idea with out having to his yourself and cover yourself head to toe. In my opinion which in no way is meant to hurt or offend anyone but her lyrics seem to convey a different message. There are ways other than doing drugs and shaking your jiggly bits to show that you don't give a fuck about people's opinions. I'm not saying that "UGHHH WOMEN SHOULD CONCEAL, DONT FEEL! COVER UP OR U A HO!" I am simply saying there are other ways to show you don't give a fuck. But hey believe what you want to believe I can't stop you from doing that. Just food for thought ya know?
