A 6 min. 26 sec. average per mile pace, maintained over 13.1 miles is really incredible! I had no idea he is that fast, as his training runs are considerably slower. Way to go, Casey! 👍👍

In contrast to men, women usually run the second half of a marathon faster than the first. They tend to hang back more than men at the start, but continue to increase speed and finish strong in the second half of the race. This is what Professor Eric Allen and Patricia Dechow found when they analyzed 300,000 results from the Chicago Marathon.

That moment you realize Casey was vlogging while running, yet he still finished way ahead of NEV and that Olympic runner? lol

Don't Look At my Profile If you notice they finish the race not out of breathe with, calling it a 13mile conversation. They were not going race pace, maybe not even half pace

They were pacing for other runners. In marathons and most other races certain good runners set a certain pace (they were doing 1:31) so that other runners can have an idea about how fast they are going (and stay motivated, have someone to chase, etc.).

As the olympic runner is the coach of the other dude in yellow, I think that he just followed the guys pace. So technically Casey didnt beat the olympic runner.

For everyone bashing the olympians for finished after Casey clearly were too ignorant to listen to when he said "we had a 13 mile conversation" aka they weren't going their hardest which is evident at the end when they're not out of breath

Think about that. 83 minutes for 13 miles straight, hole fuck people (who don't regularly run) hit from 12-20 minutes a mile.. sheesh. And to think 27k people ran those 13. Cool stuff
