Ben Macadoo should’ve been replaced not Eli. The giants owners and Reece are nothing without the two super bowls Eli brought in the last decade. Eli’s done everything for the organization to make it better. Class act. I’ve never loved Eli or liked him because I’m a Jets fan. And believe me if the organization thinks Geno who had 4 straight games with a pick six on the first drive with the jets in 2014 think that they have a better chance with geno is a bunch of BS. Also sad how Eli is the only one on the roster who’s been their since the 2007-08 Super Bowl team treated with disrespect by the other players in the locker room during the press conference who have accomplished nothing in their careers (Other then JPP who was on the 2011-12 Super Bowl team)

Geno Smith gives McAdoo the best chance to KEEP HIS JOB. As long as the Giants can stay in "review mode", while not being in "rebuild mode", McAdoo's job is safe. That's really all this is.

I haven't liked Mike since he split with the Mad Dog but this was a pretty spot on rant & probably one of the final ones we'll get because he's retiring in a few weeks.

I grew up outside DC and Baltimore post the midnight Mayflower exodus. My uncle lived in The City of New York when I was taking an interest in sports in the 80s, and got me interested in those 80s Giants teams and I've maintained that allegiance to the team ever since. If McAdoo wanted to see what "the other quarterbacks could do", there are years of game film of Geno Smith playing at MetLife in the other jersey, and Webb wasn't dressed for the gameday roster at all this season. "We're all on the same page with the decision"... who's 'we', you and Jerry Reese? New York has already seen Geno and knows if he's the answer to your question you're asking the wrong question. The only other Lombardis in the trophy case came with Eli under center. Yes, this season has been terrible. The roster has been decimated with injury, especially at WR (lost 4 in a single home game, you gotta be kidding me!) ; McAdios helped them to this 2-9 record benching top dbs in consecutive weeks, Flowers got Eli killed to start the plummet to top 3 draft selection, thank you Jerry Reese, you are directly responsible for that one.

There's no secret. Ben McAdoo was ready to move on from Eli in 2017. He wanted to trade up and get Mahomes, or Watson. Ownership and Reese told him no. McAdoo knew he was done at this time. This was his parting middle finger to The Giants organization. I hate that he had to use Eli for that. It wasn't Eli's fault but, like it or not, McAdoo knew there were MAJOR problems on this team, and those problems are STILL there 4 years later.
