You guys are the first ones in the world to do a thorough review video of the M50i. Trust me, I check youtube every day, because I purchased one 3 weeks ago, but won't actually take delivery of it for 2 more months. Overall, good job. I think perhaps you should have mentioned that the leather trim and crystal controls in that particular vehicle were upgrades. However, you also should have mentioned that NOT in that particular vehicle are available suspension upgrades like the dynamic handling package (DHP), for better handling... or the available 2-axle full air suspension for those more interested in comfort. Maybe even mention the available 20-speaker, 1500 watt Bowers & Wilkins stereo upgrade (also not in that particular vehicle). The ambient lighting is TRULY a sight to behold in the X5, but lots of other (shorter) videos have covered this. Lastly, the M50i is a unique model, because it's the BMW M-Performance division's "tuned" version of the standard 50i model, which adds an additional 67 horsepower, as well as a locking differential.... so you get "almost" X5M power, but without all the ride harshness. Perfect car for the enthusiast.... that still needs to cart a family around in style and comfort. Great job on the review! I enjoyed it. Can't wait for my M50i to arrive!

@@doubleklik1 Not yet, it is slotted to arrive "the week beginning Jan 20th". But, I'm having a US spec car delivered to Europe, so the potential for shipping delays are high. Fingers crossed for Jan 20th, but it could be the 1st week of Feb.

@@mll7250 what size wheels did you pick? I'm on the fence between the x5m vs x5m50. I'm scared the ride on the x5m is too harsh and the non run flat low profile tires spells trouble.

Drove this car and I had a grin on my face, no reason to go for x5M let alone the competition unless your swimming in money. Hell even the straight 6 twin turbo is insane for an suv/sav, probably leading in class.

Europe also gets the X5 M50d with a quad turbo inline six diesel with 400 horsepower and 760 newton metres of torque. It takes 5.2 seconds to get from 0-100. This is discontinued as of autumn 2020.

Hi Mike 🙂. I have noticed and love that you are having your camera at different angles when inside a vehicle. The scene with you in the rear seat was everything and flawless. It gives a much better sense of head and legroom. Awesome review Mike, quick side note, I noticed when you cut the check for the deposit on your C8 that you're left handed like me and we both went to UNCG.

Just before the 30-second mark, you used the term "Twin-Power Turbocharged V8" which is inaccurate. In BMW language, "Twin-Power" refers to a single, twin-scroll turbocharger. This vehicle actually has 2 turbochargers or "Twin Turbos", not "Twin-Power".

Probably the track hawk! Both can be tuned though, but I think the track hawk is more raw and quicker!

A few breaks in between w/ music & some speech/tone/cadence manipulation will def lead to higher/better engagement w/ your audience... IMHO. I wish you the best!😃

I can’t say for the X5, but for the X7 is a huge difference. I have DHP on mine, but a none DHP X7 loaner was much more sluggish... still good but not as good as DHp

Not sure how I'm suppose to know that, you wouldn't have those numbers for 90 mph other than a live read out at that speed. Not a lot of places to go 90 mph anyway.

21s: 275/40/21 front on 21x9.5 wheels 315/35/21 rear on 21x10.5 wheels 22s: 275/35/22 front on 22x9.5 wheels 315/30/22 rear on 22x10.5 wheels 20s: Not sure of tire size, but all 4 are the same. Wheels are 20x8.5 on all 4 corners.

Darrion Tunstall thé tesla is amazing as I daily drive one but to be quite honest Tesla under delivers hard on the interior, it looks like someone simply threw in a ton of straight lines with non durable fabrics. Yes there are options for carbon fiber outlining but it’s not very durable. We’ve had ours for only a year and we have to constantly send it back to Tesla because the centre console is so non durable. It is priced really high for what it delivers on and personally I think it should be priced from 40-95K for the model X and similar pricing to the S. Either way though, it’s a really safe car and delivers very well on performance, good luck finding your future SUV and hope I could help!

The only thing its missing is the Center console Should open from Left to Right instead of opening Up from the Middle. Shit COPY BENZ they COPIED YAWL BMW with The X6 and Im a Mercedes FAN but I LOST RESPECT for BENZ when They DID THAT!!!!!

Nothing wrong with saying that, it's a USC- port, meaning a spot for a usc cord to be inserted to.

Impressive car.... no doubt. But, it's silly to buy a luxury SUV, that has had all the "luxury" removed by making the suspension unbearably harsh. For the cost of an X5M competition... you could: 1) Buy an X5M50i 2) Tune it to EASILY produce more power than an X5M. 3) Buy a used alfa 4c for the track, which will beat both around the track, with half the hp. X5Ms are great. For "real world" usage though, the X5M50i is a much smarter purchase.
