It is a shame the kids are letting this fabulous home run down.

Disgusting that greed and stubbornness have reduced this grand old lady into a crumbling decaying skeleton. They would rather see it rot than compromise.

Just an amazing place! Just can imagine how beautiful it was in its prime!! Such a shame the children are tied up in lawsuits and can't just come to an agreement and enjoy the place instead of letting it rot. I feel that in situations such as this, the judge should just have everything sold and divided.

What a shame to see this extraordinary mansion has Been left to waste away. These countries have so many wasting away beautiful properties. Dosent the government care about these historical homes.

Please don't go to these places alone. It's always best to travel in a group in case something happens the other can get help. It's too bad this place has deteriorated so much. I hope the family comes to an understanding so they don't lose out on their heritage. I'm no expert but I believe some of the furniture is very old and maybe valuable. They really need to save it from being destroyed.

Such a shame how greed divides A family. They should at least donate the home and have it used to help people. Looks like they just dropped everything and left but it's only the beginning.

What a beautiful place Leslie. It is not only a shame the house is starting to really fall apart, but there are so many pieces of magnificent furniture. You can tell the owners were not French because most French manors and castles have religious articles in each room. Fantastic find.

Once in a while, a manor that you explore makes me feel kind of melancholy. This house was special. I wish the kids could have compromised 9 years ago. I love looking into the attic it's high sloping roof. I had such a sense of peace while you were going from room to room. You did a fantastic job on this exploration. Thank you for sharing. I could tell it was once very lovely, the rooms that were finished before water damage. So, if they would have stayed they would have made it lovelier. What a shame. You are one of my favorite host of touring abandoned homes. Because you are attractive and respectful of your surroundings. Also respect in your voice and kind eyes. Thank you again for a wonderful tour. Oh and I like it when your hosting alone. Not to much noise and the focus is better on things.

This constantly reminds us that when people die, you can not bring anything with you. So parents have to prepare division of properties while they are still alive, or if you have 2 children, have properties that you can equally divide.

The mirror in that bedroom next to the front entrance appears to be Murano glass, from Venice. If it is, it was very expensive.

Beautiful place!!! At 19:56, you called it a cabinet (in the dining room/living room) we call it a buffet. Reason is because the food could be set on there in lieu of the table. It would leave mire room on the table like if you had a couple extra guests.

Before I watch the exploration, I would like to say that when you explore alone, just like Maureno you're not distracted and you see more. It seems like much more detail is given and more time is spent investigating the place that you are exploring and I get a whole lot more out of it! Thank you all very much!❤

Hi Lesley, first of all Gorgeous Manor!! 🤩Now seeing the RV 🚐...there is 2 beds...the kitchen table goes down & the cushions are laid 4 in a row for someone to put a sheet on & pillows & blanket, then the bed at the top where again you dress with sheet, pillows & blanket! We use to own a Camping Trailer same idea! When you talked about parents & 3 siblings, the children are adults & move out to a bigger city..but parents probably had a Document that showed the 3 siblings to divide all the stuff inside the Manor! But the 3 Siblings were fighting against each other for the stuff in the Manor...which is GREED!! Now as years go by from 2013, everything is decaying & soon Nothing will be left for Any of the 3 siblings! What should be saved is the beds, furniture, pictures, books, lamps!! Ok, Lesley...I love the Arched Doorways!! As for bedrooms, the pink one is my favorite, which I believe was the parents room-downstairs, then upstairs the yellow the bed was either turned or a different wall of that room-1 sibling, & upstairs red room was pretty also, this would be 2 sibling-pretty peacock wallpaper & knit or crocheting picture, then upstairs the small bed must have been the youngest sibling number 3 sibling! The balcony that was very large had 2 satellite`s a new version for cable tv! Now you said, why do people Not put up wallpaper & just paint...the reason is wallpaper is a lot of work on putting it up, & if it gets worn or dirty, it is hard work taking it off & then again hard work putting it up...especially if the glue dries quickly on backside of wallpaper!! Now you call Lanterns...is really Lamps next to beds, lanterns are usually outside or to be carried with a person to have light where you walk...if its too dark to see...no lights or electricity went out!! Hello Leslie, thanks for another wonderful explore! I would be so grateful if I inherited any one of these abandoned places. And for those who do inherit these beautiful places and they do nothing but let them rot really breaks my heart. I would give anything to just be able to restore and help those who do not have a place to live. Here in the United States, we have a problem with homelessness and some places it’s worse than others. So just to think how awesome it would be for everyone to have a roof over their head and not worry. I just can’t understand why the government doesn’t step in to help fix some of these places and help the homeless!! Someday everyone will have a home and not have to worry about taxes or anything else. Just be happy and live forever!! Before you know it everyone will feel safe no matter where they are.!! Lesley, the piece of furniture you asked about @ 32:15 is a Gossip Bench. A gossip bench is a piece of furniture that includes a chair with an attached side table on one end with built-in storage such as drawers or a magazine rack. They became popular shortly after the telephone was invented in 1876. When telephones were first in homes there would be a shelf for the telephone (then a very large and cumbersome non-portable object) to rest upon. Naturally, telephone users began sitting on a chair while using the telephone. Soon, the two (shelf and chair) were combined into one stylish piece of furniture. A lamp & the telephone would typically be placed on the table top of the gossip bench, while a telephone directory would be stored in the drawer underneath. 🪑☎

Well done! I especially liked the beautiful second floor woman's bedroom. (34:10) How touching that whoever made the bed, and carefully arranged the pillows for the last time, also laid a rose on the endtable - perhaps in her memory. Judging from the beautiful wallpaper, she obviously loved roses.

I was very angry at the selfishness of the 3 children that couldn't come to an agreement so their parents labor of love fell to ruins. Their father put so much love into building a beautiful home for his family. They could have sold it and split it 3 ways. Or better yet they could have finished it to become a bed and breakfast before letting it fall to ruins and now have nothing. Death brings out the selfishness of family members. I've seen it happen firsthand.

The bedroom next to the living room I would guess is were the old gentleman must have been sleeping, due to his age couldn't make it up the stairs.Also the decaying indicate that it has been going on long before the gentleman past away..So sad

Love watching your videos, the places you go and we get to join in and see so many different places. Seems you have a genuine care for these places and protecting them more than the families. I’d be afraid to go alone, squatters, wild animals or weak timber’s. I can easily see you owning one of these places one day and restoring it beautifully! God bless!
