2 Ulimited are a Dutch dance act founded by Belgian producers Jean-Paul De Coster and Phil Wilde in 1991 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Dutch rapper Ray Slijngaard and Dutch vocalist Anita Doth fronted the act from 1991 to 1996. During the five years of 2 Unlimited's worldwide mainstream success, the act scored a total of 16 chart hits, including "Get Ready for This", "Twilight Zone", "No Limit", and "Tribal Dance". Thanks for TGFN (The guy From Netherlands) for rekindling our memories. What a nice band.

back in high school this was the song we came out to on my hockey team with video of all the big plays of everyone . getting the arena pumped up. mind you this was back in 1995 plus we won our area schools championship . song still holds up in 2020. the song is about never let anything stand in your way of your dreams .

Check out 2 unlimited Let the beat control your body or Culture Beat Mr Vain. All known as Eurodance techno music from the 90's. Just 2 of many floor bangers that 30yrs later still fill dance floors. Great upload lads thanku for sharing and for the memories 👍🍀😁

Mostly Americans will know the song but don't know the artist. Older europeans will know the song and younger generations might have never heard it.

Techno was huge in the late 80s and early 90s. It was mainly a club genre. Clubbing probably reached it's peak at this time, largely fueled by the MASSIVE popularity of ecstasy and, to a lesser extent, lsd. Most of the stuff being played in the clubs was really good. Especially whilst you're happily off your head, in a room full of other people happily off their heads. Record companies wanted to get in on the act and acts/songs like this started appearing in the charts. They called it 'techno' but it was basically just euro pop. It was nothing like real techno. It was ridiculed at the time but people ended up associating it with real techno. Which effectively killed off the whole genre. This track is usually named as the chief suspect in this 'crime'. Especially with it's, 'TECHNO TECHNO TECHNO TECHNO' lyric, repeated ad nauseam. It's a decent enough dance-pop song, though the lyrics are pretty mindless. Many people find it difficult to forgive and forget though. ;) :)
