I'm so pleased that my sons didn't have to go through all this! They are both autistic! And they have always been great friends with each other! They are now young men aged 24 and 25. They also have a great circle of friends who are not autistic! They all went to school and grew up together. Their friends are like sons to me, and they play video games together all the time with no problems. I wish every person with autism could find the kind of love and respect that my boys have had! ❤❤

Even one of his best friends recognized immediately that her brother wasn't treating her right because he stated that he has an autistic sister but he still plays with her all the time and he kept saying "Not cool." I agree 100 percent. It is NOT COOL to pick on or ignore or exclude your younger brother or sister just because of them having autism. I mean, autism is definitely not a flaw but we ALL have flaws and we NEED to remember that instead of picking on sweet innocent girls like Maya.

Most people don’t get that a lot of people who are autistic or have Aspergers don’t have thick skin like others. A lot of are real sensitive and get their feelings hurt easily. So that’s why we should be nice, understanding and most of all real patient with them cause may not always comprehend everything like most people can. They ask to be different. Nobody asked to be different or be born. Really u should be nice to everyone no matter who they are and what they have and don’t have cause they are people too who deserves respect and treated fairly just like everyone else

That little girl was sweet and it broke my heart to see how her brother treated her at the beginning. Why did he act like he was too embarrassed to play with her? I know she seemed like she was different on the surface but she's still his sweet little sister and I just don't understand big brothers who don't want their little sisters close to them. There's no telling what she had been through because there are different levels of autism and different types of them and that is why it is called Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have a little boy who is precious. He has autism but NEVER in A MILLION years have I have stopped being proud of him just because of that. Plus, he's a whole lot sweeter and affectionate than what you would expect a little boy with autism to be. His eye contact is ten times better than it used to be. He has his little things that make him different but they also make him unique and precious!💕💕💜🌈🌈🥰🐒🐒💕💜

He doesn’t act like how my cousin is. But I still love my cousin and her younger brother loves her too. I know that he’ll always protect his big sister. She’s actually never been bullied during her school years which I’m amazed cuz usually I see kids with autism or any disability that gets bullied a lot. It didn’t really happen much during my high school years.

You don’t gotta treat people with autism differently, just be more mindful. The same way you treat people who are clearly happy differently than how you treat people who are clearly sad. It’s just a part of them. It’s part of who they are. Be mindful of how certain things could upset them just how you’re mindful of anyone else because of things you know about their needs, wants, and personality.

This is a very heart touching and as for me it's more fun to spread love. It doesn't matter if someone is autistic, blind or deaf. It's oh so much more to treat everyone with loving kindness. It's really easy to do and it's more fun to do so let's love as Jesus loves.

My son is autistic, and I hope that he doesn't understand the differences ever. He's pretty young still, and I know he's been teased. He doesn't even know he's autistic. We're still working on things like reading, writing, OT, PT, speech, PICA... his older sister is his BEST friend. She rides the bus with him, walks him to his teacher, and even ties his shoes and fixes his mask for him. I'm lucky to have my children. They are 9 and 7.
