When in the lore, a Custodes Shield Captain thinks to himself if the Grey Knights are closer to perfection - closer to the Emperor in their creation, than the Custodes themselves...that's when you know you have to give the Grey Knights their due respect!

The Grey Knights are already a elite fighting force within the Imperium, and that means their Champions are only their Chapter elite warriors, rather they are pure paragons of great virtue and honor. The Grey Knights Champions are truest form of the Emperor Sword against the foul Daemons of the Warp, and it takes both great skills or pure numbers to slain a Champion, but even death a Champion continues to inspire his fellow battle brothers to fight against those innumerable forces of Chaos.

And since it's about the Grey Knights, have you thought about giving Chaos Gate Daemon Hunters a go? The game is turn based with heavy emphasis on tactics rather than twitchy reflexes

I really like the grey knights, the feeling of power the illicit is impressive considering the company they generally keep. And while it may be a tad controversial I really like how the dreadknight looks, the idea of strapping yourself to something that looks like it could be controlled remotely is badass is the over the top way 40k is at its best.

Lorgar Aurelian is the one who then founds the Ecclesiarchy with his Crusader Order: the Frateris Militaris. Lorgar Aurelian is like Ascalon Troyes, equal to Rogal Dorn and Sanguinius! One of the writers for the books, o think Dan Abnett; stated in a Q and A, thst in a fight; he'd write the custodes as the winner. All Grey Knights are Psykers, and their martial prowess is not to be questioned; but there's a reason that the golden boys exact judgement for the big E; and the grey boys only get the chance to purge the unclean. The Grey's can afford to lose, Custodians cannot.

That reminds me... the story of a Grey Knight traversing through the Nine Realms of Slannesh and falling to her at the end is apparently non canon. So to say the Grey Knights have never fallen against Chaos is simply true.

So if a gray knight stands as far above a first born Astartes as the Emperor stands above a Primarch, what's the gap physically between them and a primaris marine? And since not a single named character has failed to cross the Rubicon Primaris, when are the knights going to get around to? Or is GW not going to let that happen because they would now definitely be better 1to1 than the custodes (even with the golden boys have a 9 to 1 numbers advantage)

As a fan of the warhammer 40k universe through the games I'm looking at getting into the novels any recommendations where I should start?
