Probably the best description of why we drive classic cars. They shake, they rattle, they have little quirks about them that make them more unique that new cars. It's their personalities breaking through.

Good for them. I lost my younger brother a few years ago, but at least we got to bond over a few road trips as well. Nothing like the open road to put things in perspective. Thanks.

Love this video. I own a C3 and love it for the same reason these two brothers love there C3. There is a connection that you get when driving a old car that no new car can give you friends.

My twin brother and I split our first car between us in 1974 when finishing high school. I am more interested in cars than he is, but we did take a road trip in my MG and that was so enjoyable. Memories!!

HI Guys, when I saw the picture of your yellow 72 Corvette on Hagerty Road Trip this morning I cracked a smile because I have had two corvettes in my life, a silver green 1965 and a yellow 1970. My yellow 1970 is an exact copy of your 1972 except I had a 454 engine with a manual 4 speed. Yes, the fiberglass bodies of these old classic cars do fall apart after a while and you need to spend a lot of time repairing things. I’m sure you had the same problem with a leaking T-Top like I did as well. The thing I like most about it is they had chrome bumpers on both the front and rear. I started disliking them when they went to fiberglass bumpers. I wish I still had mine!

I own the same yellow 1972 Corvette Stingray only mine has side pipes original side pipes. And I've had her for decades. And I've driven a lot of muscle cars. But I will say this to this day my 72 Stingray has given me the greatest rides of my life. As far as I'm concerned there's just nothing better then an old school Stingray.

I will say that the most beautiful Corvette years are 68-72, either though some people say 63-67, just like a lot of people say the 57 Chevy looks better than the 55, but u see that's what happens when Hollywood gets involved with cars...it creates the Bandwagon effect.

Owning a 1968 427/435 TriPower, matching number Corvette, I agree the C3 is the best looking Corvette body every produced. But as they say, these cars are "plastic pigs". The creak, rattle and are so much much fun to own and drive.

Congrats on the ride! A few suggestions that might help you enjoy your first muscle/sports car a little more. First, get the tires balanced or get new tires (if one is out of round or the belts are loose, replace ). 80 will be a breeze. Second, buy/borrow a vac gauge, but some vac hose and check the web for likely culprits for your headlight door issue. Or leave them - it looks cool!

Have a 72 C3 BB 4spd original car and a 68 LS swap car. Yes, headlights are easy fix, all of the vacuum stuff is in a c3, unless you're running a modded LS, then make your own electric conversions. The kits are way too expensive.

C5 vette is the prettiest corvette, just sooo sexy C1 is nice and is a great looking classic C2 vette is soo classic, so beautiful just amazing C3 is too brash, it's a nice looking vette just not really worth fawning over. 80s C3 is early 80s goodness though C4 vette has become dated and hated C6 was just badly built C7 is just a re hash of the C3. But does bring the vette up to date C8 vette, well, we'll have to see about that
