For someone who's been trying to figure out the basic difference between PPF Vs Ceramic coating, I've got to say this is THE best tutorial KZfaq video one can come across on the subject. Spot On. Been thinking of getting either one done on my Ford Raptor. Had I been in India, I'd come to you with my eyes closed. Your top notch! And keep it that way!

Excellent. There were a lot of things that did cross my mind since now I am scouring around for a new car, and protection of the original gloss of the paint is quite important to a person who loves his car. You've quite clearly and concisely discussed this issue (teflon coats have been covered by many people and now is gradually being superseded by better methods). I'm pleasantly surprised that you discussed costs too, something which detailers wouldn't do for fear of shying away prospective owners. Kudos!

I don’t understand the concept of these coatings, these cost more than the car paint itself. One car hit and not only you have to fix dent/repaint but have to go again with the coating. This greatly increases the cost of owning a car in the ruthless indian traffic. I think waxing and polishing is good and if you scratch or have a dent, the cost of fixing is not high. PPF - Costing till 2.5 lakhs is an utter waste and same with Ceramic coating which costs as much as 40k. In 50k, the whole can get totally newly painted!! No offense to the channel or detailing done but the money spent is just not worth it!!

These coatings or PPF are meant for those who want to maintain their car in pristine condition, looking glossy and attractive all the time. Waxing will give you a life of only 2-3 months maximum and regular polishing is harmful to the paint of your car. And if swirl marks doesn't bother you then these kind of things are not for you 😅 and fyi repainting spoils the fun and the new paint can be spoiled by a single bird poop. You'll have to repaint it every 4-5 months inorder to maintain it spot free without these coatings.

Anand Pradeep There are car customers for 5 lakhs and also 5 crores, as long as customers are there business runs! Also, not always bird poop damages the car and not mandate you have to paint your car every 3 months, that’s myth. Polish only if you have swirl marks may be once a year, good wax lasts more than 1-2 months.

These coatings are meant for luxury cars, costs more than 20 lakhs. You cannot spend another one lakh for a 10 lakh priced car.

Thanks for the information. Getting scratches on my new R. Duster by the daily car cleaning guy. Can you suggest the treatment to avoid scratches. Did PPF in specific areas as advised by you. But now the scratches are on bonut and doing PPF is costly . So please guide a budget approach 🙏🏻

Let me know if I hand over a brand-new car from showroom to you to do PPF then will it cost less? What will be approx cost for Baleno or Skoda Rapid for PPF? Also one thing to mention that you yourself monitor the work & therefore you win customer confidence. You are right since its a wholly value added customer service work it requires that personal attention & don't worry even if you dont have outlets in other city people will still visit you but keep up your work & don't add yourself to competition be unique as you are!!!

Very informative and detained. Clears many questions surrounding PPF and Ceramic coating. One question, so mine is an old Polo so I am guessing PPF is out of question as it is suggested for new cars, if I opt for Ceramic, will it clear off some scratches and few dents in my car as well or will I need to get them sorted first and then go for Detailing?

By far this is the best explained video I have seen on the web. I have a question to ask, I live in pune only and I have a black KIA sonet. After purchasing the car on dec-2021, I had to go out of town for a month and my dad appointed a car cleaner for daily cleaner, I was not told this as I am totally against that. The cleaner who uses one cloth for many vehicles obviously gave swirl marks on my car. After coming back to pune and noticing swirl marks I had to fire him. Since then I am trying not to wash frequently, using a duster to clean the car and regularly waxing the paint surfaces. I am thinking of getting ceramic coating done and not PPF because of the budget issues, is it ok to get ceramic coating done as I am always careful about the correct way of cleaning and washing (my major concerns are car gloss and swirl marks as the color is black)?
