Rachel Kaliisa Don’t be ignorant. Dark skin does not apply just to black people. South Asians, East Asians and Arabs have different ideas of what is considered dark skinned in their own racial groups.

for everyone saying she isn't dark skinned, dark needs to be put into perspective. For pale girls, she would be considered dark. She isn't the darkest on the spectrum but she is dark. She is dark, Jackie Aina is dark, Nyma Tang is dark. Brown girls come in all different shades I don't understand why people are getting offended. If you clicked on the video, expecting a darker girl, click off, or watch and maybe the tips would work for you asw. goshhhh people are so damn sensitive these days.

As a Black woman she can describe her skin color however she feels best. It's sad that she is being ridiculed when all she is trying to do is feel beautiful and help other women be beautiful.

I found out I'm not as dark as i I thought I'm. I accepted that I was dark and I loved it. But then when i went to look for foundations I kept looking for a dark tone and they recommended a muchhh lighter foundation and I was suprised.... *Culture*

Nikki you are definitely in my Top 5 favorite youtubers. I’m Jamaican about a shade or two darker than you and all of your tips and tricks really work. Lighter people consider me dark skinned and darker people consider me light it’s just what happens when you’re in the middle. If she called herself light people would be offended, she calls herself dark people are offended 🙄 They must be the color police 😂 Love you Nikki you golden goddess!

Thank you so much for this informative tutorial. As a mixed Southeast Asian, this was really helpful to me. I also had several instances in elementary school of comments on my "mustache"/peach fuzz which made me self-conscious about it and about ashiness throughout my life. ...It's hard when we try following makeup tutorials from all these white girls who have different strengths/weaknesses in their features and it doesn't turn out as well on our features.

Hey sis! As a certified esthetician, I definitely would stress to our brown skinned sisters that waxing still can cause hyperpigmentation (though it's drastically better than shaving for various reasons). Skin inflammation from waxing can trigger Post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation is caused by an overproduction of melanin (which gives the skin and hair its color) in the skin. This is often triggered by overexposure to the sun, hormones, certain medications, sun damage, etc. Firstly, folks should be wearing a broad spectrum sunscreen daily to prevent further darkening or sun damage. Secondly, if one wishes to lighten the hyperpigmentation they should look into using some skin brightening products. Hydroquinone, licorice root extract, tretinoin, kojic acid, or any creams with a combination of these ingredients are a few options. Also, if you're going to wax, your best bet is a hard wax that contains titanium dioxide and a skilled esthetician who doesn't remove skin.

This tutorial and many others is the reason I actually LOVE you. I have watched you on different accounts for literally years! I am an NC35 and have extremely dark and deep-set circles. To counteract this i use mac nw35 studio fix concealer. Then i go on top with the makeup revolution concealer in C8. Thanks Nikki x

Pinkchoclatemad i used to use the studio fix concealer but changed to the pro longwear concealer, liquid. Its the best coverage and you won't need another concealer on top. It sets beautifully, the studio fix one creases way more. Switch over!

I have a good skin care routine i think, clean, exfoliate, acne medication, toner, serum, moisturizer and spf, i let it dry for a bit before i put my primer and foundation, then when i apply my concealer and i try to bake it start looking cakey, and i use and sponge and blen and blend!

lupitayates2010 I have very dry skin and I used to have the same issues as you. I found over time using hyaluronic acid on my skin really helped. Also I use a really good smoothing primer that tends to help with smooth foundation application.

I have very oily skin, i use that also but not daily as well as vitamin c serum, i also use essensial oils mostly at night, so i don't really know what else to do

Iara Luna Portugal I guess that it's absolutely fine saying it.. Less pale or darker than brown chocolate or light coffee are actually fine to be called dark skinned tone.. Even I was shocked knowing that ppl had issues with it too😐 but anyways... She's damn gorgeous😊😍

first of all, thank YOU! I love this video, I've been noticing more recently that my face has no dimension when I do my makeup, like it just looks dull and not very warm even though I use powder bronzer. I am quite fair but not too fair (south asian), I use Mary Lou highlighter and it is more silvery so that makes so much sense. Your tips for cream contouring with the fenty stick and the gold highlighter trick has definitely helped! also, when I used to use the revolution concealer I did find that it looked quite ashy on me, probably because I was trying to get that brightening effect with a concealer that was just too light for me. this was sooooo beneficial! gonna try to make my face look more golden tomorrow, fingers crossed lol
