I have the browning 1911 .380 in the 4" barrel model. I'm a senior BTW. It's my most accurate gun. And it conceals easy, I'm very thin. Often overlooked by the negative .380 comments is that the .380 was not developed for use in "pocket pistols". It was developed for use in full size service guns. I'm confident in using .380 for self defense using my browning with a 4" barrel. It's not 9mm power, but it gets me most of the way there and I can shoot it more accurately. I highly recommend it. Good review. Thank you!

I just picked one up this week. 1 of 3 that I picked up this week. I have to say this 1911 .380 shoots well, and is fun to shoot. It's also a fantastic size for concealed carry IMO. Cool video man. Good to see you taking a young person to the range with you. You earned a new subscriber. Stay safe out there, and take it easy man.

I have the full size, 4 1/4 barrel. I prefer this pistol for carry when i have to dress up. Conceals nicely in dress clothes. Capacity is a bit low compared to recent models of EDC pistols, but very accurate and reliable, so placement wouldnt be an issue. I have the same one as in the video, two tone, with the gold colored buck head inlay on the grip. Really happy with it and glad i bought it.@georgelilikakis6066

@@DadsGarageDIY oh, I will let you know. I've been on a .380 kick here lately. Got a Glock 25 and it's been flawless. The Baby Rock has been on my radar for a while now, and I've put it off due to mixed reviews. They put it on clearance so I figured now was my time to try it. I've got various loads in FMJ and HP so I plan on testing it thoroughly. If it works, it's going to be my cross draw van gun for work. Most of the recent review videos are %95 positive about it, so I hope I have some luck. It dry cycles fine so that's a good start at least.

I'm an odd duck in that I can't stand the taste of neither egg white nor egg yolk, and yet I like scrambled eggs. So it is with this gun-- I have zero interest in 1911's, nor in .380 ACP... and yet, for some reason, when they're combined together into the Browning 1911 .380, I feel I need one!

@@DadsGarageDIY not saying you are wrong, but are you sure? Brownings website says the slide is metal, but that the lower frame is polymer. Other youtubers show their polymer frames. One video even showed how flimsy the polymer is near the railing as he pinched it inward. Is it possible that they have a base model and you have some sort of upgraded model? If I buy this gun, I wanted a meyal frame, but couldnt find one anywhere. Here is Brownings website: "This Black Label Medallion Pro Compact model features rosewood grip w/gold buckmark inlay, blackened stainless steel finish, polymer frame and night sights". Also: "The Black Label Medallion Pro has what Browning calls a "composite" frame, which everyone else will call polymer. As great as polymer is, however, it's not strong enough (yet) to support a reciprocating slide, so inside the composite is a machined aluminum "subframe," which sports the rails on which the slide rides".
