40 days of trail camera action from southwest Florida. I put this camera out on March 10th. I came in and checked the camera on April 20th. I got a some great animal clips in that 40 days. I switched SD cards and I put up a second camera nearby to get a different angle. I came back 2 weeks later and both cameras were gone.

7/12/2019, thanks for replying. I’m am 77 years old and have loved the outdoors and wildlife we have here in Missouri most of my life but we have nothing like what you catch in your videos. I’m still fortunate to be able to get outdoors. It’s really great to see all the wildlife that’s in Florida. Its wonderful to see and experience all that God has put on this earth. Thanks again

Tim, I just found your channel, good Stuff! Turn on Monitization, talk to who ever does your taxes, this will be a new Schedule C, You will pay taxes on your earnings, but be able to deduct your cameras, Batteries SD Cards, sardines, Mileage, and boots!...hahaha We are used to Ads on the Tube. The income will help you to do more. Every month you do not get a check is money you will never make back. You can always donate your earnings to a wildlife fund and then take a deduction.

Hey Tim, You are probably my favorite wildlife shooter. I guess because I'm an old south Florida boy who's hiked through many of the places you shoot. I feel at home when I see your vids. I like your personality and your insane eye for finding ghost orchids. Thank you. I would happily buy another Brownie Recon for you if you need it. It's not that expensive really and it's like payment for the vids I enjoy. No offense meant. I'm not suggesting you can't afford to buy your own, but I do think it sucks that someone stole your equipment, and your vids mean something to me. - Mick

Tim, your web site is beloved by my 7-year old. She was utterly heartbroken when I had to explain to her that some bad guys had stolen your cameras. As a Floridian, I'm just ticked off as to the number of idiot yahoos that we have to share our beautiful state with. I hope that the Park Rangers find those knuckleheads. BTW, as a word of advice, that I learned in the service, you should try to engrave identifying information in multiple locations in your equipment. In the service we would put the first letter of our last name and the last 4 of our ssn (ex: H-9876) A marked piece of equipment goes a long way into rendering it worthless to a future buyer (pawn shops won't even come within 50 feet of engraved gear). Just an idea. Hope that you continue with your vids!

This same shit happenes here in Az. all the time too. I always place a tag on my cameras stating smile you missed the other one. It doesn't always prevent them from stealing the cameras but lots of times they will look for a camera that is not actually there. Not being able to find the camera they leave your camera they are about to steal alone for fear of being caught on camera stealing. But in the same they have cut down 100 foot pine trees to steal my camera, also they have tried to shoot the locks and the metal locked boxes and cable locks off . Destroying camera and locks . Good luck getting new equipment. I really enjoy your wildlife videos and pics.....

WHY WHY WHY did someone have to steal your cameras....I read a previous comment about attaching a GPS location device to the camera (if possible), then we (yes, we) can find the scum and video them tied to a fire ant mound while honey is poured over their naked helpless corpse.

Past time to use chains and pad locks like others do. If it were me not only would I use chains and pad locks but also would put a mini tracking device in all of them. They work good. Lol my son used them to catch his girlfriend. Very painful for him but at least he learned the truth. Catching the dirty thieves where they live might save others who couldn’t afford to replace things.. I hate thieves and liars. Your videos are a blessing to disabled folks like me who can’t go out into the woods anymore. Blessings.

LolI hope they get eaten by a bear, slowly and I'm not kidding. Thievery is the reason we pay 30-40% more for every single thing we purchase. It truly is a major problem. Especially if you can't afford to heat and cool your house pay your important bills or feed your children when they say they are hungry. Everything stolen is paid for by someone else.

Tim, Sorry for your loss of property. This seams to happen a lot to owners of trail cams. It is to bad that there is not a GPS tracker in the cameras that would notify you that your camera is moving from where you left it. Maybe this would be a good suggestion for trail camera manufactures. I know that does not help you today. I know that would ad a lot to the cost of the trail cams but that would beat loosing you beautiful work capturing wildlife. I know there are aftermarket GPS trackers but I don't think they would be small enough and would not be able to be removed from the trail cameras and would be an added cost if the camera is still stolen. Once again sorry for you losses I did enjoy your work.

Guess we're not going to have to wonder what key it would take to open your lock this time. How did they get the lock off the tree anyway ? I loved your intro about your new Swamp shoes thought it was a best intro so far. it's no fun to hear an " I told you so " but I sure would put a lot more time and effort into camouflaging / hiding the cam with moss or what ever's natural available to your location. Sorry about the cameras. I am a deer hunter and use trail cameras all the time. I have had several stolen. The lock cables are useless against someone who wants your property. I have been putting mine up about 10 foot or more in elevation now and have only lost one since I started putting them out of the line of sight of most two legged critters. Also most people follow the game trails in the woods we do also which doesn't help. Hope you get some cameras soon as your videos are great to watch

@SpyingDutchman I knew it! You ARE a democrat! I could just sense it. I'm a retired LE and Army Officer, and I'm probably well your senior. I leave the lying to the young punks. If you put the camera 10' up right over the trail of course you're going to get the backs of things. If you set it a bit off the trail it can be 10' up and still get a good side view of the subjects. AND maybe not be observed nor stolen. That IS what my original comment was about. Simply geometry, smart guy. Just trying to help Tim out. OR, you may keep doing the same thing over and over and expect a different result. The definition of stupidity. You may now have the last word. I won't waste any more time on you. As always...Awesome videos!! I really hope your cameras were removed by mistake. They must have had some tools to cut your cables. I know you wrap them up pretty good. Looks like they didn't leave any cut cable or debris maybe it was a state employee and hopefully you will recover your cameras. Thanks Tim...Keep posting them awesome videos!!!

May I suggest you put up a second secret camera higher in a nearby tree that watches over the trail camera. It should be hard to spot. Maybe you will get a clear picture of the thief. Print those photos and hang them in the information kiosks at the trail head. Identify and expose those idiots.

Sorry for the lose of your cameras, and I so very glad this didn't discouraging you from continuing to make your most enjoyable trail camera videos,

Tim I was out there 4 weeks ago hiking and I noticed on the board while paying there as a sign saying no trail cameras allowed. I’d call the main office. I bet they got it.

I have a permit to put a trail camera out in that area. I share my videos with the park staff so I know they don't have it.

Hey man I love your trail cam videos. Im an avid hunter and use them as well. I dont know whether people steal cameras for their worth or because you have them on film. Either way it sucks

Is it feasible to put a hidden spy camera on another tree to watch your critter cams. All you would need to do is down load it and someone in that area would know the thieves. If you want to do it and get some costs for a few cameras I would sponsor one for you. You can give me your info and I'll send you the money. I love what you do here and I HATE A THIEF. all thieves should die.

I get the feeling, after watching a couple of these videos, that the animals know they are being watched.

cant you rig the cameras to explode when stolen? the gators would eat the remains, so you wouldn't have to worry about hiding the bodies. i remember you had a video where you used a camera that sent pics to your phone. why not use those? you would get some great shots of the theves.
