Compare that to Rae Dawn Chong, Tommy Chongs daughter, noone ever knew Tommy was half Chinese and his father was ashamed of his culture, depriving the family from that connection and pride, the polar opposite of the icon and legend Bruce was and still is, and passed on to her and Brandon.

Bruce Lee was the most famous movie star in Hong Kong from the 1960s to the 70s before his death. All boys and men in that era learned Bruce Lee's martial arts style. Every movie of Bruce broke the box office record in Hong Kong.

James Dean is probably second to Bruce Lee in being a star who died young (fifty plus years) and still has a cult to this day. Rod Serling would probably be the third.

It’s almost been 30 years, and Tupac Shakur is talked about more than any other rapper. I really do think this will continue on. He’s the hip-hop version of a Bruce Lee, or a James Dean…or Elvis. He’s the 2nd celebrity that some people refuse to believe is dead, after Elvis. That’s pretty good company! Guy is a cultural icon, like the others. He really was one of a kind…

It is said that Bruce Lee developed the concept for the 1972 Kung Fu western as a series in which he hoped to star, but was told by the network executives that the American audience was not ready for an Asian actor as the lead…….still the concept was develops into a series starring David Carradine….but no credit was ever given to Bruce Lee….
