At 60 yrs of age and 55 yrs of cutting grass this mower has been my favorite. I have not had many mowers (lawnboys for first 20 yrs) and I have recycled many mowers that other people just threw out. This model Honda was one of those that came along in its later stage of life but I hung on to it for at least a decade. Well made and reliable.

My favorite honda mower, had one a couple years back, I completely redid it, paint and all, till my friend saw it, and bought it off me for 300 dollars, he still loves it, as do I.

Nice job Bruce these last forever, if maintained. Bought my first one used 30 years ago sold it at a $50 loss from original purchase price 3 years ago still running. DO NOT wash the clutch area or the rear wheel drive area with water the bearing on the rear wheel drive will be the first thing to go so make sure you spray lub them to help or change them out before they seize. 2 brought in last year that the seized bearing cut right through the drive axel one was scrap (axel in pieces) the other (axel groove worn in) built up the axel with weld and ground to fit new bearing.

Welcome back! I dig the chrome handlebars. I got one like that from my Dad. I didn't realize it ran out of oil and it seized. If I knew what I know today, I would still have it.

good work there, I could never get that jet out with out taking carb off the mower first. I just had a new style briggs 150cc OHV with the main jet clogged but couldn't unclog it. (rock hard ethanol deposits) I ended up replacing it from a scrap carb I had. if I remember correctly the gas that was in the carb was very yellow and smelled really bad.

That Honda is a gem, I've had 2 in the past and they had double blades. It seems Honda has always over engineered there product compared to others.

Where are you located? I have a 35 Yr old Honda hr 214 that I got from my father-in-law. I’ve had it for 30 yrs. Now, I need to repair/recondition it.

What kind of table/lift is that?

I inherited one that is in pristine condition, except the left rear wheel is shot. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get that wheel off. It wont break with a my electric ratchet or by hand. I tried backing up the other side and it's just not coming out. Anybody got a suggestion?
