When i was 20, I was kicked out of my home by my mother. I dont have a father or siblings, so I was all alone for several years. There was a point of my life that i gave up. I didnt want to live anymore. I was lost on loneliness and distress. In the very bad days, i used to lay down and listen to this song, imagining singing to my future son or daughter...i wanted a family so bad, and yet, was so so alone. In 2020, i met a guy who ripped me out of my cave (house) and forced me to live, and enjoy life a little. I was never loved, and didnt know how to love either... I dont know why, but he never gave up, and because of him, now i have my daughter listening to this song with me, and found my partner of life. Since that day, we were never apart, and I am happy for the first time. I am not just talking to the moon waiting to my family now.

I'm going through the same thing right now since the pandemic, I burnt out two months into the pandemic as if everything that I had been bottling up for 18 years of my life finally got to me when I was the most alone, bursts of loneliness and self-isolation, I avoided everyone, I got distant from my own friends who barely talk to me now, dropped out of uni (or at least, hopefully pause, just for now), have no job and many dreams but no aspirations or too little hope and resources to make them come true. I really don't know where I'm going or what my purpose is...

My younger sister committed suicide last weekend by overdosing on something. She was found with headphones on, presumably listening to something. This is her youtube account. She made a playlist containing 6 songs that was edited the day she passed. This is one of the 6 songs. With the method she used, she was dead after about 30 minutes, probably unconscious around 12 minutes. I like to think that it was peaceful for her with her music on. I love you Miley, I'll miss you everyday for the rest of my life..

As someone who experienced a break up very recently, this song has so much more meaning than just being epic and beautiful. It tells a story of how she was the joy of his life and how he hopes that every night she's talking too. This is the only song that has been able to make me cry and it hits way different after that experience.

My best friend sang this at a talent show in my 7th grade year. I will admit I liked him a lot, like I liked liked him. He was so awesome and sweet and I felt like he was basically me in a boy version. I felt like he sang this song to me as he was on stage. Three years ago, a guy with whom I was in a situation-ship introduced this song with me. Being 19-20 years at that time, music wasn't really my thing, so I didn't pay much attention to the depth of the lyrics. Now at 23, I can truly appreciate the beauty of the song. I understand the message he was trying to communicate to me through it. This song triggers memories of him whenever I hear it; it takes me back to our late-night conversations, - me sneaking out at night from my window for long night walks and go watch moon together in the quiet and calm place, returning home at the early hours of 2or3AM. Although we've since lost touch, this song has the power to evoke the essence of him, and I'm filled with a longing to express my gratitude for those moments we shared, gratitude I never had the chance to voice.
