Maxey had 3 turnovers in 52 minutes as the guy with the ball in his hand all game. Against the knicks defense.

I think it's a mistake to undervalue Embiid's defensive presence in this series. Despite having a poor shooting game Game 5, he got the better of Brunson a number of times too defending the pick and roll, with a steal and a massive block late when switched onto him. Also, he had a game high +14 plus/minus despite playing 'poorly' and the Knicks would go on a run whenever he was off the floor.

I have no dog in this fight-Im a Denver fan.And I know he had 40pts,& is a great player but Brunson gave that game away in OT-he just killed the Knicks.I get it-hes the reason they are there,& were winning...I would've had him top 5 in MVP if I had a vote.Big picture,-hes #1 reason they are even relevant. But it was ridiculous some of the dumb stuff he did in OT,missed a few big FTs,took a couple bad shots,& a few just beyond ridiculous turnovers.I f they blow this series-& I hope they win...but if they do-thatll be a game they completely gave away with the series all but over.Of course Philly gave away game 2-Knicks had no business winning that 1 either. But of course I work at Ball arena,& am used to watching the best player on the planet-Jokic,& the most clutch player in the world-Jamal FING Murray-so that probably spoils me,& makes me expect other teams to close games like they usually do- lol.

Thanks, Coach. The Knicks caught a really bad break, getting a nominal top-three opponent because of Embiid's injury late in the season. And, really, the Knicks stole a win from Philly, and Philly just evened it up in Game Five. It has been so long since the Knicks mattered that I don't wanna sound too dramatic, but, we cannot blow this series. That end-game performance by Thibs, Brunson, Mitch, and Hart was simply embarrassing. I am not saying we will win a title without Randle. All I am saying is, please reward the Knicks for finally looking like a real NBA team, for the first time in 30 years.

Prison rules for the Knicks not for the Sixers. You can’t even breathe on Brunson while Knicks are allowed to play full contact rugby on Maxey and Embiid than have the nerve to flop around the court.

I watched Embiid elbow Mitchell Robinson in the head probably 5 times in the second half, don’t even mention the flagrant on Brunson that left a full-on handprint on his face.

@@rg442 Not a fan of either team but I was getting so frustrated in the fourth/OT. Joel Embiid knows he's essentially useless out there offensively, so every time he gets the ball it ends in him attempts to foul-bait and flailing his arms. Such bad basketball to watch.

You kinda did Embiid a disservice. As awful as he was offensively, he made a lot of crucial plays that helped keep the Sixers in the game, especially in OT.

Brunson travels on every turnaround he does. And Brunson is getting carried by ridiculous foul calls where he stops and launches himself backwards into Oubre and get’s shots every single time when NBA not supposed to call that. In fact Brunson does everything people were crying about Harden for. That wouldn’t bother me as much if Maxey got the whistle too but this guy get’s tackled on half his shots and no call. Like Maxey playing 52 minutes against an aggressive Knicks defense only getting 6 FT’s? Does that even sound right?

Embiid had 16 rebounds and 10 assists but I guess he didn't play well.

For a *back-to-back scoring champion,* 16 points is trash (especially as the #1 option on his team). That's basically what Austin Reeves just averaged against the defending Champions (Denver). Someone like Embiid is expected to be going for 30+, high 20's at worst.

Remember he is doing this on 1 knee, half a face and had migraines while playing in the explosively loud MSG. He didn't play up to his standards on offence, but to say he played poorly and wasn't a main contributor to the win seems ignorant.

Those 10 assists came with 9 turnovers. However, he made a lot of crucial plays in OT that helped propel the Sixers.
