Sir me ek 11.5MW power plant mein electrician hu aha brushless exciter system hein sir exciter rotor se carbon brush ke through avr mein 2 wire kis liye gaya hein ?exciter ka current sence karne ke liye ya kuch aur please answer me.

Sir, why we use main excitor?? Why should we don't send directly DC from AVR to Alternator rotor?

Just think: how you will connect the dc power to alternator rotor. We need some arrangement to feed power to alternator rotor as its a rotating part. The system you are thinking is static excitation system, in that carbon brushes are used for sending excitation power to rotor.

Interesting one... But buddy, think about how can you change the magnetic flux according to demand of customer. You need to maintain constant voltage irrespective of load on the generator. So, you need variable flux na!!!
