PSA: If you use an old version of BlHeliSuite or BlHeliSuite_32 with a newer ESC, it may have errors when trying to flash or program it. Make sure to always update to the latest software!

This guide is incredible, thank you, I got a 4 in 1 blheli thinking it was a stupid good p/w but realized i had no idea what I was doing or how to drive in reverse. Now my bot is going to rip and tear! I could probably fit these electronics in a 1lb bot!

Have to say a huge thanks for making this video. It answered ALL of my questions surrounding blheli 32 and is a great video the community definitely needed. I look forward to getting my brushless drive working thanks to your help!

Great video, I used these in Kobayashi Maru and so far it is working great. Ill see you at motorama.

Awesome guide! Do you know if its possible to assign a button to reverse left/right in the middle of the match? In case my bot gets reversed it would be nice not to have to try to control it in the oposite way.

Yes I think I actually showed how to make such an invert switch in this video going over Draconid's controls. Basically you only need to multiply the steering channel by - 1 to invert when upside down
@johnathan77042 ай бұрын
@@JustCuzRobotics Aha! I re-watched the end of the video, and you do mention how to reverse a motor in case its plugged in wrong but I don't find the part about assigning this to a button. In my case I would like a button that when flipped would change the mix/elevon. When a bot flips over the steering left/right remains the same, but reverse becomes forward and vice versa. So the switch would need to change so that forward of the stick gives a negative value for CH1/CH2, while keeping the same mix when going left and right.

You won't be able to do this with a FS-i6 but for open TX based radios you can do it on the mixes page

@@JustCuzRobotics Ah I see. I think its possible to flash Open TX on FS-i6, maybe that is a solution

It's all good stuff, but I'm more interested in that perfectly ripe banana. This is important, people. Far too many advertising peeps, photographers, and food stylists working for kitchen catalogues and glossy magazines opt for the pure bright yellow banana, which is unripe, hard, crunchy, and bitter. A light speckling is evidence that the fruit is ripe and sweet, soft and deliciously squidgy. Just like me. Curious point: when bananas first arrived in England (I think it was around 1630, which is half-past four in the afternoon - about teatime), people had no idea how to tackle them, and ate the skin as well. Yeeugh! Getting banana oil on your teeth is an unforgettable experience. Mind you, it could have been worse. Could have been coconuts. Mmm, crunchy...

Is there any reason a 4-1 quad ESC wouldn’t work, assuming you could program it without a flight controller?
@JustCuzRobotics3 жыл бұрын
Not really, although if you did burn out one of the four onboard ESCs you are stuck with one dead one on that board. It could clean up wiring if you are using four brushless motors though most only use three or fewer.

The only reason I'm using brushed is because lipos are banned in mine. I'm using lg 10 amp continous, 3500mah, 14.8v pack

Hey, Seth I wondering if there was a way to do a tank drive/ drivetrain utilizing 2 joysticks?
@JustCuzRobotics4 жыл бұрын
Yeah of course. Bloodsport actually is tank drive as that's how Justin prefers it. Just make channel 1 drive the right side and channel 3 drive the left side. The issue is just that most transmitters have a spring return on the right stick (mode 2) and the other is throttle so it sticks in place. Often if you take the radio apart there will be a spring that can be removed from one channel and added to another to turn the throttle channel into a returning stick, or you could search online to try and buy a spring return kit for your radio. The Jumper T8sg Plus I just got came with one in the box.

@@JustCuzRobotics yeah tank drive is super nice. Having done vex for 4 years I'm used to it

DFRobot Bidirectional 40A ESC. I haven't tested it yet but it claims to be 6S capable.

For controlling the two ESCs for the weapon motors why not simply run the signal from channel 3 to both ESCs using a split wire or the like. I like your solution but am curious if there was a specific reason you can’t wire them that way.
@JustCuzRobotics3 жыл бұрын
Quite honestly I didn't even consider that since it would involve rewiring a servo connector. The downsides would just be that extra effort and then having one ESC that was no longer interchangeable with the others since it didn't have the signal wire going to its own servo connector. I just kept the hardware as simple and swappable as possible in exchange for a little more radio programming

Once a good open source exist like Betaflight is for multirotors.. robotics will take over the house but if a lot of the stuff isn't ironed out within time, people will lose property and life.
