Belgium: Third country. Brussels, Ghent, and Bruges are the cities visited, full of curiosities and discoveries about this country. I confess that I didn't have many plans for Belgium (besides trying as many beers as possible).
I enjoyed the cities in the countryside more during a one-day trip. Ghent and Bruges are truly amazing, absolutely worth it, especially the Gothic Basilica of the Holy Blood in Bruges.
In Brussels, the Delirium Brewery was a disappointment. I expected more, as the quality of the various beers I tried was quite poor. In the other pubs I visited, the level was extremely high. Belgium certainly has some of the best beers I've ever tasted.
I noticed the city was quite neglected and dirty, with several places like cathedrals covered in graffiti. Perhaps I see this because of the way I like to explore cities; I always spend the day using public transport and visit various neighborhoods, not just staying in the central area.
The hostel was very good, like a hotel, with an exceptional breakfast for €9. The hostel bar sold pints for €5.
The arrival in Brussels was quite peculiar. It was the day of the largest pro-Palestine demonstration in Europe, and I passed through it with over 5.000 protesters on the street. It was interesting.
That's it. I came by train from London, a super smooth trip on the route that passes under the sea, and the next stop will be Amsterdam.

Bélgica: Terceiro país. Bruxelas, Ghent e Bruges são as cidades visitadas, cheias de curiosidades e descobertas sobre este país. Confesso que não tinha muitos planos para a Bélgica (além de experimentar o máximo de cervejas possível).
Gostei mais das cidades do interior do passeio que fiz em um dia. Ghent e Bruges são realmente incríveis, vale totalmente a pena, com destaque para a Basílica gótica Basilica of the Holy Blood em Bruges.
Em Bruxelas, a cervejaria Delirium foi uma decepção. Esperava mais, pois das várias que tomei, a qualidade foi bem ruim. Nos outros pubs que visitei, o nível foi extremamente alto. Com certeza, a Bélgica tem algumas das melhores cervejas que já provei.
Notei a cidade bastante descuidada e suja, com vários lugares como catedrais pichadas. Talvez eu veja isso pela forma como gosto de conhecer as cidades; sempre passo o dia utilizando o transporte público e visito vários bairros, não ficando preso somente na região central.
O hostel foi muito bom, era como um hotel, com um café da manhã excepcional por €9. O bar do hostel vendia pints por €5.
A chegada em Bruxelas foi bem peculiar. Foi no dia da maior manifestação da Europa em Pro da Palestina, e eu passei no meio dela com mais de 5 mil manifestantes na rua. Foi interessante.
No mais, é isso. Vim de trem de Londres, viagem super tranquila na rota que passa por baixo do mar, e a próxima parada será Amsterdã.
