yes! The acting in marriage story was okay but over the top. They were too confident for people who were supposed to be going through a divorce. Nothing subtle about their acting- it was all in your face

Bonus points if they miss the BIG EVENT but arrive just too late in a car driven by ANOTHER WOMAN CHARACTER, so we can all enjoy the dull crushingly hateful and lazy manufactured conflict of rashly assumed infidelity without the chance to explain.

Don't forget the pet that has like one cameo with the kid and isn't shown again until its eventual tragic and untimely death to complete somebody's growth arc (probably dad's first emotional moment with the kid)

I would normally question the whole “white women love wine” statement except that a I’ve seen it for myself as a cashier in a supermarket. Whoa. And, don’t let it be a Sunday at 11:59am. They are standing by to bum rush that wine section and fill up their carts. *We always ran a buy 6, get 2-free sale on Sundays. It was total mayhem.

The thing is I've watched Marriage Story and Scenes From A Marriage...and this sketch..two times now and I am still crying tears of laughter. This is genius. In just a few scenes, they somehow summed up both these two stories so accurately. I did however enjoy the movie and the series not gonna lie. but this is a gold comedy.

Rami Malek has been the best SNL guest of this season and these skits were all genius. I would love to see him do a double season, double-take. Every second, every moment in this skit is better than most movies. Everyone who worked on this skit was genius and should be proud. You made us laugh, relate, and consider our own f**k ups. Cheers.

I agree. I think they really trusted and respected Rami's acting ability so they gave him fantastic stuff. I mean the choosing a new bed one; the angelo one; the leasing out their cabin (but their really killers) one...never have I laughed so much at so many skits. Need to see him do more SNL stuff in future.

All jokes aside, Revolutionary Road is my all-time favorite "marriage crisis" movie. The characters are so complex and the acting is crazy good!

I have forgotten what actually happened in the movie. Because I saw it many years ago. But I finished reading the original novel by Richard Yates recently. I really do feel like I know these characters, they’re so recognizable in real life. They’re not the kind of characters in literature, if you know what I mean

Starring; A good, sensitive man played by an actor who usually does villains. A woman who wonders "is this all?" played by an actress who usually does comedy. And a kid who's a foot and a half taller with a voice an octave deeper in junket interviews because this was on the shelf for so long because of covid.

I still don't know what it is, why did we need it and who is it for ... maybe for the *director going through a divorce who wanted an outlet for his/her frustration 🤷 . It was beautifully shot though - if we want to say something explicitly positive.
