Upcoming documentary feature from ARCHITEK Motion Pictures exploring the history of Brutalist architecture in North America. Both loved and despised in equal measure, this extreme and monumental offshoot of Modernism rose to prominence after the end of World War II. The use of raw concrete is known as "Beton Brut" in French, an unfortunate coincidence that led to the usually derogatory translation of "Brutalism". Monumental, ominous, elemental, oppressive...no other architectural idiom has inspired such extreme opinions.
Now in production from ARCHITEK Motion Pictures.
