I dont own the game but i am surprised after seeing you explain the game that there is little replayability. May i ask how you eventually get on if you have already off loaded the game? I imagine with all the area control elements and each play kind of needs to consider multi-dimension (well you have to think about whether the card is of use, and whether eventually you can get majority of the shield and also if you can get a column), I imagine this games get a bit different if you play with different players and in different games. Anyway very few review videos on the internet on this one so thanks a lot for the review!

If you're searching a good sprinkle for area control depending on the worker placement spots don't look further on Papà Paolo, such an underrated game from Quined.

For it's size and play time, I still like this one for the amount of game it offers. I still want to give it's big brother, 1893, a go.

Yeah it's definitely decent. Still have 1893 on my shelf unplayed.

It's definitely nothing special. I like the art nouveau theme, too bad it doesn't come through. Ended up being super dry with tracks, columns and shields... Zero thematic ties. Also the rules for the column and shield scoring is not straight forward, you have to keep everything in mind. My recommendation for a worker placement game destilled down to a card game is First Class: All aboard the Orient express.
