Song was actually written for the movie 'A Night in Heaven' released the year before this album came out, but they re-recorded it for the album. Actress in this video (and 'Run to You') is British actress Lysette Anthony, who played the Princess in the fantasy 'Krull' in 1983 (a couple of years before this), but they dubbed her for some reason.

Bryan Adams is an amazing artist and he's put out some great love songs over the years. In fact, Canada has put out some great artists over the years as well. One band that has a catalog of awesome love songs as well is Loverboy. Their singer Mike Reno is one of the best. Checkout "Destination Heartbreak", "This Could Be the Night", and "Almost Paradise" which was a duet with Anne Wilson from the band Heart.

Great song, Bryan Adams has a great voice and is from an era before all the computerized post processing and auto-tune. They've studied and compared the music from before all the computer work and it is filled with a lot noise which I would call richness, not that the new cleaner stuff isn't good. It's just when you hear Bryan Adams singing, you're actually hearing "him" sing. The same is true for Grace Slick and all the like. That's why they say they had so much more talent. Today it's more of a packaged product which has to include the image and influencer lifestyle. Music videos really changed the landscape who could be a famous music star in a very short time span. The Proclaimers were out immediately because people found out they looked like a couple of dorks and other musicians made cringe worthy music videos that immediately ended their career. Other good looking stylish people with less talent floated to the top. Today, I think we see more people with both and are having a new appreciation for the talent but damn, music has so much post processing, auto tune and studio manipulation that with few exceptions, it's basically computer generated.

When i was a kid being Canadian we all knew Bryan Adams … being kids we liked the song but as a joke we used to sing it and replace “we’re in heaven’ with ‘you’re eleven” … you’ll never hear the song the same way again😂 but of course we Canadians love our countryman Bryan Adams 😁

I can't remember if you were told before, but there was a video released with his album Reckless, that was like a promotional thing, had a series of music videos that were released that were all connected, about an ex girlfriend played by the same actress. You've seen this one and "Summer of '69" now. I think there's also "Run To You", "Kids Wanna Rock", "Somebody", and "Cuts Like A Knife". I forget the order you're supposed to see them in. So that's the background story you see going on there. I think "Run To You" would be the next one after this.

There were actually two music video versions of "Heaven". This version was a part of a series of music videos Bryan Adams made to link a story together. The other videos were for "Run To You", "Somebody", and "Summer of '69". If you watch them in this order: - "Summer of '69" - "Somebody" - "Heaven" - "Run To You" You can see how they connect together.

Hi Bisscute! Long time sub well relatively, first comment! Loved your reaction to this! After you hopefully listen to some of Tina Turner's songs (Private Dancer, What's Love Got to do with it, We don't need another hero, among many others) she did an awesome duet with Bryan Adams called "It's Only Love"! I'd love to see you react to all of the Ms. Tina songs above, but considering your s Joy listening to Bryan Adams, perhaps especially that AMAZING duet! Thanks!

Thanks for the reaction) I see that you often make reaction videos on some song of 80s. I'd recommend you to choose song "Love walked in" of group THUNDER. Great melodic rock of 80-90s. Also maybe it'll be very interesting to all your audience to discover any Wig Wam song. They're fantastic modern glam rock group with a special vibe of 80s.

Written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance. Originally released in 1983. Released again, in 1984, on the album Reckless. 40 years. 2 years before this was released, Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance wrote Stay for fellow Canadian band Prism. That song led to Heaven. Same key! 🔑 This song and the original version of Obsession were the highlights of the B movie 🎥 A Night 🌙 in Heaven. True story. Mickey Curry, who left Hall and Oates to join BA, could not make the recording session due to a prior contract requiring him to play for another musician. Steve Smith , then of Journey, came into play. Compare this to the song Faithfully, which Journey played. Very similar! 😃 And BA was the opening act for Journey that year! 😃 Engineer Bob Clearmountain worked with BA in 1983 for the album Cuts Like a Knife and with the late David Bowie, RIP, for Let's Dance. Rob Sabino played keyboards for him. RS and BC worked on this song and. Now RS is a lecturer in music at UC Davis. In an interview, BA wanted Nile Rodgers, who co produced Let's Dance, to produce Reckless. Listen to the Apple podcast for details. There are really 2 eras for Bryan Adams: up to 1991 and 1991 onward. Mutt Lange changed everything in 1991 for BA. Suggested videos: 1 Bryan Adams sings Summer of 69. 2 Journey performs Faithfully.

I know I've already suggested "Goodnight Saigon" as the next Billy Joel song you do, but if you want a good love song, do his song "She's Got A Way". Billy actually has lots of great love songs, and there are other great ones by others, but this is a personal favorite that was the first to come to mind when you asked for a love song.
