The Highland Green model isn't £7300, the Legacy Edition is that price, the Highland Green and Shadow Black are the entry level Gold Star's at £5999, that takes them into Royal Enfield's price range.

Nice video Nick, isn't our sense of elapsed time weird at times! I was really taken by the clocks when the bike was first revealed. We are all different when it comes to fit and comfort. The biggest problem 'BSA' has is RE, not in terms of the 350 but the warm fuzzy feeling of being a part of something, much like the Harley brand, that many people have. This will make market penetration a tough fight for them.

Morning Nick, I agree BSA have an uphill battle with RE though I think RE should have brought back the 500 Bullet instead of just a repainted and rebadged 350. 👍

Each to his own but as an owner myself i find it much more comfortable than a cruiser which i just can't get on with. As a big guy i also found the rear shocks rather crashy so i bought some uprated ones from Tec which improve the suspension and handling immensely. I'm also getting some bar end mirrors because like all Micky Mouse mirrors there not ideal. The bikes been faultless since i got it in March.

Morning Nick. Having ridden the Goldstar on two occasions, with one being quite a long run, I still couldn’t make my mind up whether I liked it or not. I didn’t think it was as good as the Interceptor, but it’s not a bad bike. Removing the baffle would help, as all the sound you hear when riding seems to be coming from the air box. I thought the suspension felt quite plush, and not as clattery as the Interceptor. The 650 Rotax, certainly has some shove when asked, I also didn’t find any fuelling issues on my demo ride, so found it interesting that you felt it on roll off / on. Like you though, not a bike for me, nor that many others, as the Goldstar isn’t a common sight on our roads. I think that I have only seen one passing by. Nice ride review.

Thanks Ian, it is a bit of a ‘marmite’ bike. I’m going to the Motorcycle Live show at the NEC and will be interested to see if they have the BSA there. 👍

Great review. Good to see the return of the BSA name. I think this particular model has some tough sales competition. Haven’t ridden one yet, but can’t see me swapping my Interceptor for one.

It is a lovely looking bike and though I said it wasn’t for me that doesn’t mean it’s not going to be the perfect bike for someone else. I’d recommend a test ride for all who might be interested in it. 👍

Yes it is a lovely bike and I’ve had my legacy since march very nice indeed As you know now there’s a few accessories including the luggage rack and their panniers but I won’t be getting the panniers from BSA I’m getting mine from Matt @ Classic rides Yes bought mine from Eddys Along with my other bikes I can’t fault it with no issues 😊😊 You don’t need to look at the odometer all the time😊 the main thing is the fuel gauge and indicators / warning lamps on the front display 😊😊

Great video and a nice looking bike. I personally like the yellowing for the exhaust pipes. The car you parked next to at the Motorist was a lotus 😂 not 100% which one.

Hi Nick a good honest 2nd ride review, the bike does look nice, if it had been air cooled and tappet adjustment along with centre stand included for DIY maintenance it would be better I think, I keep going back to how good an allrounder the Classic 350 is for the money despite its top speed 😁👍 Cheers Bruce

Thanks for watching, if it had had a centre stand so that chain maintenance was easier and a more comfortable seating position, I could have been tempted a little more. 👍
@patrickdoake60229 ай бұрын
Funny watched various reviews on bsa all said how comfortable the seat was, better than enfield! I think a lot of thoghts on any bike depends on height weight etc of rider! This is why different bikes suit different people. I dont like the enfield interceptor but many do, i hope bsa do well after all enfields early bikes were terrible, they took years to get to where they are now.
@thesilverfoxtravels66539 ай бұрын
You’re absolutely right regarding height and weight of the rider. As I said, the Goldstar wasn’t for me but that doesn’t mean to say its not for everyone. I’d recommend a test ride for anyone interested in the bike. 👍

Like the look of it and I think sounds ok but the comments about being "tacky" put me off. Hopefully make it to the NEC also and film. Tank size on the Goldstar for me a bit 'meh'. P.s I do want a single thumper but with around 40+ bhp. And a decent 16 litre tank. Maybe wishfull thinking😉

@@patrickdoake6022 It does but not taken by tank size and some mention of tacky finish. I'd rather spend more and get a Guzzi. And they do some models with decent tank size.

I,v been looking at this bike but a couple of things put me off... 1st no center stand,,, 2nd I dislike the fact it has an 18" front wheel ,I would much prefer 19" or 21".... 3rd I do not like that bit of plastic on the right side of the engine (with the three rifles on) pretending tobe some sort of push rod tube.. 4th I ,v never sat on one ,,but I would need a comfy seat... If I did purchase one I would likely raise the bars and redo the seat... Funnily enough the fact its watercooled does not put me off,,, though I dislike those rubber dishwasher parts behind the rad on the left side,,,,, yeah I know I,m hard to please.... Also it does seem expensive,,, You can get the Mash 650 classic for less then 5000 .Now I,m not saying its a better bike ,,,but 2000 cheaper is not tobe sniffed at !!!!!
