don't get to excited that is a 500 plus HP cupra.. not an average 2003 cupra.. with 220 hp . that M3 was able to keep up with a 150 plus hp deficit... an stock cupra.. will be outrun easily by an m3 EASY...

Wow, that was awesome. I am doing almost exactly the same setup. 2.1L with PPT kit. Almost all the same parts too. Leaning towards GTX2867R instead of the GT3071R.

Yeah I am dealing with the same, but I dont even have an LSD yet. I guess thats my next step. Does your car have a full interior or did you take seats and stuff out?

What car do you race with? This Cupra R was a full interior completely stock looking FWD car. I have parked it and removed the motor which goes into a haldex Cupra car with a LSD in front and rear for better traction.

I have a 2004 GTI, I was thinking on buying an older TT quattro and put my engine in it. I think thats probably my best and most affordable option. Making my car AWD is too much damn work.

Hej I wouldn't rate the BMW& ist Driver too low. That was superb driving from both of you. And from the Sound of it, your Car wasn't a stock Cupra either but a heavily boosted one. If the Sound of the wastegate doesn't mistake me. If you have please send more. Regards Harry

Make sure your brake fluid is changed first dot 5.1 recommended and make sure you have racing pads as normal pads WILL fade. Good luck :)

ah, however I have raced against stock E46 M3's earlier and this one is a bit faster than the stock ones. Good driver in the M3.

This was with a broken tdi gearbox so it seems much worse than it really was. And it was bad ;)

Yeah. I had way more power than him but no working LSD and bad gearbox synch made it impossible to get past him in the twisty parts.

I have an external mic to my gopro on a 3m long cable. In this video I put the mic on top of the airfilter in the engine bay. Yeah, it's a little loud.

+oistein74 great! i will try it. I see that you make it stroker. and break your block? I have an BAM engine and Im not sure to make it stroker or just stick to IE foged internals. Do you really think that the block can handle well a stroker kit form IE? looking for 400whp. And talking about your turbo it looks awesome how it spools, Im a track day fan and I like more medium spool from slow medium corners than a extreamly laggy turbo for drag

No, I had a cast crankshaft which I broke in half during trackday. Block is strong enough. 400whp is easy with this motor. Specially on E85. Borg Warner makes some responsive turbos with little lag and good top end power.

How do you know? Looks standard to me from the ride height, exhaust etc.. He had better traction out the bends were you had more straight line speed but being fwd traction is an issue. Looks fun though!

He was driving on semi slicks and had major engine modifications. I've raced stock M3 E46 and my car in thta mode is almost twice as fast.

xXYannuschXx it's a piggy back called Eurodyne and it's so so... better with a standalone. 500usd ish for the software and then I tune the car myself.

denis Holden Hi there. My engine is completely built 1.8T. The head is from AGU bigport. You will max see 250 ish hp from the K04 turbo.

Cheers m8. I'm about to buy seat leon cupra r but with amk engine mapped up to 260bhp. No other mods, standard recirc valve etc and cone filter. I'll see how i get on with that. It's 2003 model. Fell in love with it on the test drive . Ko4 on my xmas list then :D

+denis Holden you'll be lucky to get 260 with out a decat and exhaust System along with uprated dv and filter and the AMK engines come with k04 as standard ,what filter are you using in this video? I want a cone type but hear statistically they don't give any gain over an uprated panel filter and then there's sucking up heat?

+oistein74 Ive got a MK1 Leon Cupra R mapped by R-Tech in the UK, best VAG mappers around in the UK, and mine is 283bhp 319ftlb, front mount intercooler with 63mm custom intercooler pipes, 3" turbo back exhaust, 80mm custom intake pipe, 007p and a custom intake with force induction from front fog area. Best quater mile time is 13.61 @ 108mph

In my opinion Leon is very fast ,nice spool :) , but in this movie driver is lame , why he passed e46 on last straight there was many places to pass it out , like camper :)

its a cupra r google it. far from an mk1 tho in this vid this car is FWD only with about 600-700ft lbs of torque on a 1.8L 4 cylinder turbo i think maybe 2.0. thats impressive being that he out handled and out ran the m3. i bet the m3 driver looked in his review and the cupra was behind him on his ass in a blink of an eye.

BTG = Bridge To Gantry. This is the normal way to time your lap on the rings for tourists.

Not on the limit with this car. Broken LSD gives me only 1 wheel drive in the corners. Broken synchro makes it hard to change gears. Rebuilding a 4wd car now. FWD Mk1 cars like this has a rear sway bar which makes rear end unstable in high speed corners.

he did not pass the M3 because the owners said that, he had a broken Limited slip diferential.. no lo paso porque tenia roto el diferencial autoblocante y tenia que ser cuidadoso en las curvas..
