Not bad for a first try for BTech to step it up and outside the box. It would've been great if the interface gave voice or popup prompts to steer y'all in the right direction. Hopefully, when the competition realizes that this feature set could revolutionize GMRS comms, subsequent software/firmware updates will become more intuitive to make use easier. I just hope the manufacturers don't make the tech proprietary. Thanks for sharing.

I bought a Pro a couple weeks ago. Bought a second used one that arrives today. Actually, the Simplex repeater mode makes this radio useful in an emergency. Just hoist it up into a tree. I have a simplex repeater box I can use with FRS for Neighborhood Watch. But this would also be a cool feature camping or at meets, in a large group car or motorcycle ride. Thanks~

Great replacement for the expensive Garmin Rino’s ($650.00) which show the map and text right on the radio screen without the use of a phone. Thank you for the demonstration. Could you guys let us see the map at work. I hope you can demonstrate the map function at 1, 3, and 5 miles on simplex. Thanks again !

It works on repeater. But the data is to fast for the repeater to key up. You have to set a delay

Looks like one of those antennas is a 771?? Don't worry the FCC isn't going come rappelling through your windows if you do replace them.

BTECH GMRS Programmer app is similar to the HT app but lacks Relay Mode and Network Channel capability. Tested the BTECH GMRS Programmer app on the Retevis RT78 and it works on 70cm. Suggest using the BTech GMRS Pro radio with the HT app for Relay Mode / Network Channel capability!

So in my group we ride atv and utv very remote areas. Some in the group do not want to pay the $150 ish for this unit. I'm curious if someone else using a GMRS radio can share thier location with me and it be viewable on my map? Or, can they join my team without a GMRS Pro? Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

@3:22 you state that it won't work on a repeater.... Randy from Not A Rubicon mentioned it will? The biggest push for me, seeing as I own my own super tall repeater would be to utilize text messaging on said repeater. There is absolutely ZERO way to make this work on a repeater on the 467.xxx input freq?? (+ 5)

iOS is lacking features. I don't see any Team settings on my iPhone. The iPad app does not work, Btech Dev is supposed to be working on it.

The downfall is the IOS app for Apple is extremely limited.
