Their vibe for me equals the Great rock bands. Their lyrics, metal, hardcore coreographys and so on.

Thanks for exploring BTS with us. Synchronisation: I'm a BTS fan rather than a Kpop fan, and don't pretend a lot of knowledge of other Kpop groups, so I apologise if I am speaking to an expert here. Whenever I do watch/listen I look at the dance. Incredible dance skills are simply a basic requirement to be an idol, and trainees practice for hours a day and for years. Many groups display immense precision, but BTS is one of the best, but occasionally I'll watch an amazing group and I'll see tiny errors. Never seen that with BTS. Not only does each foot go down on time, I don;t think I have ever seen anyone adjust their footing or move to perfect their balance. Not only that, but if you look at that moment when they jump in the air, every foot is at exactly the same height. They video practices and check, sometimes frame by frame, for exactness, even checking the angle of fingers (or finger) and eyeline for perfection. Bang Si Hyuk is (or used to be) a n exacting task master in this way: they laugh at it now, but I think they themselves are now the same in regard to their performance. On top of that, they will always do one more take. Even if the producer is satisfied and 6 members are happy with it, if one of them is slightly uncomfortable, they will all try again, until they all agree they have got it right. Now, they do make mistakes and we've seen them do that, not only in dance practices, but on stage too. They are human, and will laugh at themselves and each other, but will even, in films of a live, show errors that happen, such as Jimin confidently running to the wrong position for his next section (twice), or JK completely forgetting to form part of the "mirror" for Butter. J-Hope, the dance leader, is a perfectionist, and the members all say that he notices every detail in a performance, so that every time they make a tiny mistake their eyes automatically go to him. He was asked in an interview what he thinks when a member makes a mistake on stage, and he smiled, shrugged, and said "I don't care" - and of course, that's just sensible : by then it is too late, the person knows what he did, knows JH knows, and J-Hope knows that everyone did everything they could to be perfect, and everyone is human. The level of emotional maturity they bring to their determination and perfectionism is very impressive too. Drum Line : Of course drum lines exist all over the world, but I'd be pretty certain that the idea of using one here came partly from the music production choices, but also from a knowledge of American drum lines, which (for all I know) may have been adopted in Korean schools. Links between Korea and America are particularly strong, of course.

They used members of the UCLA marching band for the score of this song, and it’s members of the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps who have the instruments in the music video. (Fellow “appreciator” of marching bands and bugle corps here. 👋😁)

The choreographer, Sienna Lalau was front/center in opening....I believe she was 19 and has a youtube channel...she has choreographed several BTS videos. You can also check out the many high school and college marching bands that have used BTS songs and dance in their halftime shows....usually amazing. ARMY grandma

This was filmed In the LA area at a place called the Sepulveda dam in the LA River basin. The music was done by the UCLA marching band, concert band and the Blue devils drum corps. The dance group is called The Lab which is an LA based dance group.

It's nice to hear you appreciate the videography! It's a really skillfully done video. Re: their synchronization while dancing, when they were training their performance director would pause the monitor video randomly and check that they were in sync frame by frame. Even they eyes 😂 over the years they actually loosened up on it some but they still dance like one soul in seven bodies 💜

It’s not very evident in this video but the line “the shadow like me” is not the only fake tattoo V uses for ‘ON’. He also had an elaborate twisted ‘shadow thorn’ running from his chest up the left side of his neck. That one is clearer in the official video you’ve already watched. It changed slightly for each performance. He wanted to really ramp up the energy and drama for the song and thought this would help him nail the characterisation. Up until 2022, only Jungkook and Jimin had permanent tattoos, but now they each have a 7 friendship tattoo.

The only BTS members who have multiple tattoos are Jimin and Jungkook. The other 5 members only have one: the friendship tattoo they all got. It is a small number 7 that everyone has in a different part of their body.

I think the most tatted is JK then Jimin. I believe the others only have a number 7 representing their brotherhood but that’s it. Our hardcore rappers only have a 7 and no other tats lol

THIS IS V the most handsome guy in the group an d he does not have any big tattoo only Jimin ribcage and the back of his nect and hand and JK has on his sleeve and behind his ear. has major tattoo but every member has a symbol of 7 on their body representing their bond as a group that. but V's tattoo is fake.

I am an older ARMY, and I am always glad to see new people react to this incredible group! The tattoo on V's face is not real, I promise. In the video about the making of this video, you can see them applying it on his face. JK has a full sleeve and Jimin has the phases of the moon on his back. And they all have a small "7" hidden somewhere, but V (Tae) would never disfigure his face that way (I think anyway)! But it's not real...
