Spring Day has 2 connections Omelas and the MV Sewol Tragedy. Yoongi symbolizes despair, he was sitting on a pile of clothes because that was the passengers or the number of death tolls. Hobi symbolizes Hope. He and Suga don't coexist at the same time. Jungkook symbolizes the passengers/victims. Jimin symbolizes the family and friends of the victims. As you can see in the ending part where all of them are at the train, Hobi touches Jimin and showing that he would be alright and Jin looking at him with a concerned look. Jin symbolizes life Taehyung symbolizes death RM symbolizes Time. At the start he enters the Omelas and shows us the interior of the train with Jungkook not noticing him. When he and Tae (death) are speaking outside the laundry shop. They are deciding the fate of Jungkook (passengers) and Jin is turning the machine on and looks helplessly to the clothes inside. That symbolizes the drowning of the passengers and yoongi sitting on top of it showing despair. But we see Hobi on top of the train with a paper airplane he symbolizes Hope and sends a message to Jimin (family/friends) that everything would be alright. For Jungkook (passengers/victims) he realizes what is happening and tries to stop the train from reaching the station where Taehyung (death) was waiting. You can see when Jungkook was running searching for them they were just 6 it's because Tae (death) hasn't come then we see all of them in the next scene with Tae in the back. At the end Jimin accepts what happened and moved on with his life and Jungkook (now accepted his fate/dead passengers) will look to their love ones forever. Spring Day is a special song dedicated by the boys for the victims to rest in peace. Please try to sometimes analyze this type of music BTS does which is solemn and sad unlike their Pop hits. There are a lot of theories and explanations but this is what I like the most.
