Damn, imagine how you'll react when you know the meaning behind their cyphers. The cypher series were an answer to their haters and started when they had beef with one rapper in Korea who criticized them for joining an "idol group", saying that they betrayed hip-hop and that they weren't rappers ksksksksksks well the content of the cyphers practically chopped that "rapper's" career and fed it to the sharks. The last part you were asking on was Suga. Both him and RM were underground rappers before they decided to train to become a group, J-Hope learned to rap when he got into the group but his main role is the lead dancer and he used to be an underground hh dancer.

Sorry I'm a bit nitpicking here but Jhope isn't a lead dancer in BTS. A lot of people is confused by terminology in Kpop. Jhope is one of MAIN dancers (Jimin too). The hierarchy goes: main>lead>sub. Jungkook is a lead dancer. Jhope is also a DANCE LEADER, which means he teaches other members dance choreo, before live performances he checks if they are in synchronization and remember the moves, he also contributed several times to dance choreography, but BTS have in-home dance director/choreographer and they also collaborate with others choreographers. Also I may add the one who "sang something at one point" is Jhope, he's the best singer in the rap line and actually he's also a sub-vocalist in BTS. And yes, the one you were probably the most impressed is Suga.

@@sinahmith No Jungkook is a lead dancer, even their Korean profiles say so. For example in Jimin and Jhope profiles you have 메인댄서 which means "Main Dancer", but in Jk profile you have 리드댄서 which means "lead dancer" (you can check it out yourself in google Korean to English translator). All three are in the dance line, but this doesn't mean that all three have to be main dancers (like in the rap line you have main and lead rappers, the same in the vocal line, so I don't know why it should be different in the dance line?). People often are surprised, especially new fans because Jk being a center is often treated like a main dancer tbh, especially in their MVs, he has the most screen time and he also does some dance breaks as a center (like in Mic Drop for example). So it is understandable, but on technical level Jimin and Jhope are better.

pleas, when doing outro: tear, check out also a live version. Each one of the rappers has their own mixtape, maybe you can check them out on your own time. On Suga's mixtape he goes by the name "Agust D", my fav track is called The Last, and also Agust D. RM's mixtape is called Mono, fav tracks are Tokyo and Moonchild, and JHope's is Hope World, favs are Airplane and Daydream. Thanks for taking the time to listen these guys, they're pretty amazing.

The last verse of Cypher 4 was done by Suga. Also you have GOT to check out Outro: Tear. That song is probably the most powerful song that the rap line has done. Also checking out the lyric versions of these songs is worth it because their word play and flex abilities are crazy.

The intellectual you are. Damn ur good. You can hear their advancement through the Cyphers and you could tell that they sound like east coast rappers. Sooooo true. I would say however, that J-Hope is becoming more of a southern rapper with the way he raps. He sounds more like the rapping you would hear from the Migos for example. Smart choice not to read the lyrics, and just listen to music. I wish more people would do the same! Also, I think your favorite rapper is Suga/Yoongi. He's the rapper that has the rapid fire flow. You should listen to his solo track Agust D.

Most of BTS songs don't have official music videos but there are lyric videos and live performance videos. Even with official music videos please turn on subtitles because the lyrics are deep and some Korean words can be misunderstood. Thank you!

Okay, as a Hip Hop lover and a big fan of BTS, I can clearly see that you like Yoongi's (stage name: Suga) flow the best, which is quite interesting because he sits RIGHT in the middle when it comes to style, rhyming and cadence with his verses between Joon and Hoseok. Joon (Stage name: RM) is extremely old school and pays homage to the 90's rap style with his verses, and on the other side, Hoseok (Stage name: J-Hope) has that modern, fun sound that you wouldn't hear in the earlier days. The fandom knows that Hoseok tends to play the carefree, unbothered role when talking to haters. The "I'm so successful, I don't even think about you or your words" type of rapper. Joon is the philosophical, metaphor-heavy rapper and makes the haters question their lives a lot lol and Yoongi, as I mentioned before, is extremely balanced. He uses both worlds in his career. He is old school, yet trendy and that is why he is immensely known for his exceptional style. When you get to each person's individual sounds and mixtapes, you will have an even better understanding of my explanation. Hoseok's Hope World is trendy, fun, and inspirational. Joon's RM/Mono is deep, philosophical, and heart wrenching. Yoongi's Agust D is fierce, truthful, and beyond inspirational. Yoongi is also one of the fastest rappers in South Korea (as you noticed in this video!). Overall I myself love Yoongi's style the best as well. He gives everybody something to like. Very versatile. I listen to the song too before lyrics! I want to feel the beat, passion, and when it gets me, I go to the lyrics. So yeah, I don't think its wrong to enjoy a song that way. Lyrics are important, but don't you want to engage to a song better once you feel the music. Then you read the lyrics. And if the lyrics are good, then Baaam!

I just stumbled across you for the first time. I can’t TELL you how much I appreciate how you are breaking this up into segments. It makes me think of a quality chef. When he has an intimate knowledge of each ingredient, he can appreciate the completed dish more fully. You are one of the first reactors I’ve seen do this with the cyphers, and I’ve watched many for a few years now. One of the things I love deeply about BTS is how layered and rich their work is. One of the things that challenges me is...the same dang thing, when it comes to reactors. With regard to the lyrics, there is just SO much to chew on. Not only is it not going to ‘flow’ easily since it’s a translation, it’s layered with word play and Korean symbolism. So it takes extra exercise to grasp them. Don’t get me wrong, it’s enjoyable! But I honestly believe it deserves its own devoted focus. I never watch an MV with the subs on the first time. Because just as the lyrics are loaded, so are the MV visuals! Symbolic items aside, there is just so much art and beauty happening, if you blink, you miss something and it may be the most important element of the whole thing. So for that reason, I absorb it for its sound and visuals, then go to sort out the lyrics. So THANK you for doing it the way you need it, and for respecting them enough as artists to give each element appreciation and focus. One reaction and I immediately subscribed. If you’re going to savor each bit like this, you’re worth my time and subscription. I’ll look forward to more!

All 3 guys write their own material and they produce it too. Each has a different style too. RM is a lyricist in a similar way to say Eminem in that he is very smart with wordplay and his delivery can be stone cold up to spitting it out. J-Hope is the one with the swagger for me, he tends to be of a more lighter personality. Lyrically he has amazing skill for writing diss tracks. Some of his lines are hilarious when he's rapping. His delivery in diss tracks just ram home the lyrics because he can change his tone or ad lib to what he is saying. Suga reminds me a lot of Eminem in his lyrics and how he is as a rapper. When he writes whether it be a diss track or something personal like his social anxiety he will not hold back he will say what he thinks and tough if you don't like it. When he raps to these songs you know he means every word he says. Like RM and J-Hope he is a really nice guy. Suga also goes by the name Agust D this is where he raps about his own personal stuff. RM has his own tracks J-Hope has his too

What I like about BTS is that there is something for everyone. Everyone is good at what they do and they work hard to improve. They are all so talented and inspirational. Someone may attract you at first, but then you end up appreciating everyone. Their music is so diverse and the lyrics are so motivational! Cyphers 3 & 4 man... RM's verse (he was first) - those flow switches, that easy flow from Korean to English and back to Korean depending on whichever words work better, his wordplay and intellectual roasts (you'll see when you get to lyrics)... nnngh the man is NICE. Jhope's rhythm, classic rap style and swag, Suga's rapid-fire and savage sarcasm and the way he rides the beat.... I love these two so much. Can';t wait for you to check the live stage!

You should definitely check out the English translations for the Cyphers. Cypher pt. 2 was focused on this one rapper called Bfree, in Suga's verse he tells him to be back to Hawaii (were he is from). Please react to these songs by the rap line as well: Outro: Tear Ddaeng + Ddaeng Explained by a Korean by DKDKTV Joke by RM Agust D by Suga (Agust D) Airplane by J-Hope Also the group did a song called Hip Hope Phile (Lover) that pays homage to old school hip hop/rap artists and shows what their early influences where. Hi, thank you for checking out BTS' work and for being open minded. 💜 I'm sure you'll get more recommendations from ARMYs. :) Anyway, the rapper you reacted to the most and asked about is Min Yoongi. His stage name is Suga. I love his raps and the songs he's produced because his songs have a cinematic feel, his songs set different moods and ambiance, tell stories and paint pictures in your head. The way he uses lyrics, voices, breaths, beats, melodies, rhythms, layers, texture, space, and silence in his songs is amazing, it's like you get taken in a different world. He also has solo stuff that you could check out if you want, he has a mixtape. His stage name as a solo rapper is Agust D, it's Suga spelled backwards + t D (town Daegu, his home town). He is amazing at delivering rhythmic flow and complex emotions. He is good at spitting hard hitting fast rap, but he is also great at making complex emotional songs and raps. I'd describe his voice and rapping as raw, punch-drunk passion. He has what I call track presence, when he raps or sings, you immediately recognize him and his parts are always memorable. He has a talent for making listeners stop and listen to feel what he is saying, when he raps or sings, you immediately know that it's him.

They participate heavily in the production and composition of all their music (All bts members, including the vocal line. Check the vocal line out as well, they are crazy good). Many of their songs are actually completely one handedly made by them alone, without any further alteration or participation by professional producers. Even if there're participation of others professionals, they still participate a huge part, as well as the lyrics). Their solo mixtapes are made by them alone though
