I love you calling out Hobi's lyrics. They're always deceptively clever. Like somewhere along the way it became kind of a meme that "Hobi's verses slap but they don't make sense" and that's so ridiculous. He's very referential with literature and pop-culture and some of that can go over your head (especially if you're not Korean) and some of his raps play the long game so the verse is a bar, not a just a line of it. He uses a lot of metaphor too. I really appreciate you guys taking the time to read what he's saying. He's got incredible bars too. He's the second most prolific writer in the group and a full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association along with Joon and Yoongi. He deserves to be known for his writing too.

The way I observe: • RM has a certain finesse and grace to his rapping both in flows and lyrics. • Suga is raaaaaaaw that it’s ironic he’s called suga. The only way he’s sweet when it comes to rap is the way he puts a period in anyone he disses. • J-Hope is J-Flow. His lines unexpectedly packs a punch for a newbie back then and wrap them up in a unique flow and the number of flows he can ride and the transition is 👌

The most impressive thing about RM is he can rap so well in a second language! There's no rapper in the US that can write those kinds of lyrics in Korean, but here he is writing genius lyrics in English!

You're bubble gum." •RM used the word kingdom and broke it into 2 syllables to then proceed and state facts. That he's a king in the rap game and the hater is simply a dummy. "Get lost after 8 measures, you *old caterpillars* . I'll give you this beat, give it a try." • Old caterpillars never turned into butterflies. Meaning they never underwent metamorphosis. They're stuck in a rut and don't change.

What's great about the Cypher series is when those were released, they were still not at the top like now. Especially 1 & 2. For 3 & 4 they gained some attention from westerners but in Korea they were still considered 'nugu' (Explain why they won the grand prize in 2016 and so many kpop fans protested cause koreans at that time didn't believe their albums sales was so great). And now years have passed and all the things they said in Cypher's lyrics has all become reality. They have become the standard for Kpop, so high that nobody can touch them now. That's incredible if you ask me.

If you look at the credits, usually one or more of these three have their hand in the production aspect. when people say they make their own music. they really are one of those artists that have a hand at every point in the process.
