I never listen to reactor covers. I saw this pop up today and thought okay, fine. I’m expecting a call and if I have to answer during this I won’t care. I’m very glad that call did not interrupt because this is genuinely so good. Thank you for keeping the vocal melodies as similar as possible and also for not going crazy on the musical production. What an honor to Bangtan and their music to do it this way. Hearing the lyrics about growing a flower in a dream that can’t come true in English with your delivery hit me hard. Seriously, so well done. Looking forward to more.

This is really beautiful, I think BTS would really love it. They have watched covers before, and I hope they see this one. I’ve never heard anyone even attempt to correctly translate to an English version before, I know it really takes talent as a writer to do that. Damn Nathan, this might be one of the best Fake Love English covers I've heard. Your genuine passion in making this cover shines through. I've seen quite a few self proclaimed "musicians" critiquing the body of work of BTS while not even being close to them in talent or skill set. But you're one of those talented people who are genuinely good at it and you've earned my respect! 🙌 Looking forward to using your lyrics with credits (I hope that's okay) to make a vocal cover myself someday, because I've never been able to rewrite it as beautifully as you've done here 😅

You did it! When you said you might do a cover I thought you mean a karaoke type cover but you really did THE cover. You got the essence of the song, all the parts of it, and sang it for real. OMG, how did I not know about this, for lack of a better word, crossover?!? I was a big fan of Plus One as a young teen, attending every concert from the one with Jaci Velasquez, the first headliner with Stacie Orrico and Rachael Lampa, went to the Obvious listening party, the tour with ZoeGirl and numerous fairs and even the small Macy’s appearance. Went when it was just you, Nate, and Gabe. Wow, that was just a trip down memory lane. But now as an Army this just completely made my day! Love that you are covering them and reacting to them!

I am an older army who enjoyed Plus One's era as well. I've enjoyed your reactions and analysis of our boys as I've followed your journey into the BTS rabbit hole. You're able to appreciate their dedication from a unique perspective. Wow! What an amazing cover! I love how you translated and interpreted the song. You kept the original sentiment and also matched it to your style. I always thought you were talented but it's great to see you in action covering a BTS song I love. I hope you consider doing The Truth Untold. PS. I also really loved listening to how you tackled the rapping parts. Especially, since you've mentioned that you were interested in giving it a try. Many of “perceived love songs” are written ambiguous enough so that it’s applicable not just between lovers, but other types of relationships (familial or friendship). An argument can even be made that Fake Love may be about BTS’ struggle with fame and the fake love experienced to or from their fans. After all, they are putting on a persona doll like image to make us fans happy. I hope you continue to do BTS covers and be moved as many of us are by their lyrics.
