The whale shark is a cultural symbol for Qatar. Qatar is home to one of the largest whale shark aggregations in the ocean. What the boy picked up was a pearl which the boy picked up and put into the sea, used to be their main source of economy before they found the oil. Also this whale shark was meant to have a double meaning because the flying whale that swims in the sky or space rather than the ocean is BTS symbol

The translation for the Arabic part is: We dream that the world will become better ... As an arab army this whole thing felt so unreal when i saw the live performance i was already lost of words because of Jk's vocals and stage presence, ppl kept saying it was like watching the one and only Michael Jackson and then Fahad came through and i completely lost it lol. I would like to share a part from an interview with one of the dancers Allen Charles Saguion, who participated in the MV. He was starstrucked by JK and the whole interview was very wholesome 🥺 He described what I‘ve always liked about Jungkook. He said: "After working with Jungkook, I literally listened to every song, and watched all music videos that he released. I never really knew until I worked with Jungkook like, he changed something in me, as I always thought that big artists like him would ignore people or snub us just because they are really famous. But Jungkook made me change that thought, because he showed us love and kindness with simple gesture and words. He was different." The choreographer and the grammy nominated producer RedOne were also very impressed. RedOne said: “Jungkook was like a professional, ‘How do you want me to do this?’, ‘Is this the way to sing this part?‘ and so on. It was quick, and we got it done, and it sounded amazing. No headaches. With no promotions, it’s just been the performance at the World Cup. This song is number one, that’s how much he is loved, and that’s how much he and the song are doing good. Qatar is known for its whale sharks, They have the highest concentration in their waters. the other theory is that there are seven whale sharks that appeared on the video representing BTS. They earned a new nickname by the way "Kokkie (JK) and the other Kokkies ( the six others) because when asked why only JK sang for the world cup the interviewee said the other Kokkies had to prepare for military service.

As an asian, this was such a beautiful thing to witness. The live performance where Fahad & JK hug just screams brotherhood across all nations, religions, ethniticies and identities. Reading all the articles circulating in the Korean media rn makes me feel so proud of this sort of global togetherness Dreamers and its performance and message created. He became the first artist (and first Asian and K-Pop act) to have an official solo sountrack for the FIFA World Cup since Ricky Martin in 1998. He did amazing in spite of being unable to hear his in-ear monitor and having to perform live in front of a mostly non-ARMY audience. He even he won over some football (soccer) fans. What a superstar!

With regards to the explanation of the song, the background vocals of “Dreamers” are rooted in the sailing culture of the Persian Gulf, where Qatar is located. Historically, sailors on trading ships each had very specific roles within their crews, such as pearl diving. Seeing as the sailors’ job was extremely wearying, one of these roles belonged to the crew member in charge of raising their spirits. The melody heard in “Dreamers” thus comes from the tunes that were used to cheer up the sailors drawing from the genre of music called “hdadi.” Im beyond proud of my Jungkookie!🥹 He made history and proved that he is indeed the Global icon! His performance during the FIFA opening ceremony was incredibly impressive having encountered an unexpected technical difficulty mid-performance. Both Kookie and Fahad's voice are insanely amazing!

I was super happy, I woke up my whole family to watch the opening ceremony on the day, and everyone was impressed with his talent. I always knew that JK was born to shine, and his debut as a soloist was in the world cup, so proud of him.💜

He's such a humble person. The choreographer is Peruvian and she said it was a joy working with him. He was always smiling to the dancers instead of ignoring them just because he's a star, wanting to learn the steps to perfection and always kind to everybody.

So you wanted to hear what he overcame to perform that? He only started learning the choreo a few days after he arrived in Qatar, and he didn't learn the chorea to the chorus and do any kind of rehearsal until the day before. Also his in-ears weren't working properly so he couldn't hear himself properly during the live performance. He said he didn't even know how it turned out until he listened to the recording afterwards.

What was beautiful was that the moment Jungkook he was singing live, the bts members were recording him on tv and he was posting, kind of supporting jungkook at this stage of his life 🥺💜💜

He also said that during his performance his ear piece wasn't working properly so he couldn't hear himself or monitor his voice, BUT he was still INCREDIBLE!! I'm always in awe of them. Jungkook didn't break his leg, but for the Live performance his in-ears weren't working as well as at rehearsal (so, basically, he couldn't hear himself). He mentioned that in a W-Live just after the live performance. Of course, he said he wasn't entirely happy with the performance (I think he rarely is....perfectionist), but he said "at least I didn't make any mistakes". He's just so humble. RedOne co-wrote and produced the song, I believe, but yes, Jungkook was involved in writing and also putting his own spin on the choreo, which he had very little time to learn. For the video, he was seen filming in Qatar in September or October, so it really wasn't that long before FIFA either. I'm really looking forward to his solo works, but no clue when that will be coming out.
