This was their debut song (probably the reason why they had introductions ). Its definitely hip hop, not like their current stuff. Even JK rapped back then and although Jimin hit some high notes most of his lines are lower register (love his raspy voice).

Baby BTS really have a little air of nostalgia. As you say, it's a shame that the video you chose doesn't have subtitles because the message of this song is really important. Imagine a group which, for their first song, openly criticizes the mentality of an ultraconservative society like Korea. you really had to have B... And special mention to Big hit for promoting such a song, especially when you know that three of the band members were still minors (JK I was only 15 years old)

I’ve never clicked on a video so fast in my life… 😂 this is the video I like busting out for people after they fall for a couple of newer songs but haven’t gone digging yet… and some of their predebut stuff too… literal babies, they were always good, always hungry, and always have given their everything. I’m so proud of them and how far they’ve come 💜

1:17 Because this song is their debut song. People don't know them yet so they introduce themselves. 3:40 BTS early songs are more hiphop. They still have other genre but a lot of hiphop on the early days. 6:29 BTS old songs, if you go to hybe, it doesn't have CC. Agree that the music is sometimes similar but evolved. If you ever have the time, a reaction to their 2019 MMA performance would be awesome. It's one of the best performances on an award show ever, but it's about 30 minutes long. BTS really tore it up.

You definitely need the lyrics to truly appreciate this song. They were all teenagers in this. The oldest was Jin. I think he was 20. Most were under the age of 18 or 18 years old then.

BTS very first song, can you believe they were only 15-20 year old at the time. BTS earlier music videos were uploaded to 2 different channels HYBE labels and 1thek channel. And I'm pretty sure the 1thek videos have English subtitles.

This song is so freaking fire the entire song is absolutely incredible it's their debut song from 2013. I love all there songs granted not many people like them there so underrated and people just don't take the time to appreciate them I'm glad you appreciate them tho.

They introduce themselves in this song because it was their very first music video. The group was originally conceptualized as a hip hop group by Hitman Bang, the then CEO of Big Hit Entertainment.

@@pettiestbettyart How do you find the time? I'm with SuZen Cho, I check out songs from other groups here and there, but BTS content takes up so much time I don't even think I could fit another group if I wanted to.

@@crystalsnow1138 it helps to take a little break from one and maybe give a new group their day, if it’s a group you end up loving, you’ll do a deep dive, but you always go back to your number one… it helps to not watch any group all the time, you watch a couple bts vids, then you check out a few stray kids videos… get some multi fandom friends, they’ll send you their favorite clips, you can send them favorite clips, and the other groups will charm you and you’ll start seeking them out more. That said, remember there is more to life than fandom… Kpop fandom can break your heart sometimes… At times I’ve felt like kfandom is my abusive ex boyfriend that keeps coming back even though I should just close the door. But the music, the hard work that these groups do, the unending charm and love for their fans… they’ve got my heart 💜
