The United Nations invited BTS for the second time to speak as global influencers and allowed them to record the song. Inside the building, the recording was made at night in one take. Outdoor recording was done early in the morning. Through the Internet, ARMYs based in New York were invited to dance with the group during the recording of the song.

Few weeks ago, Ryan Gosling (Ken of Barbie) had a message about him wearing Jimin's PTD outfit. Of course OG Jimin wore it best, but he offered Ken's guitar to Jimin for Ken having the same outfit. Jimin posted soon after receiving the guitar. Anyway yes a fun mv. Thank you!

Yes. They used sign language in the choreography. If you didn't notice the MV was all inclusive by age, young and old and in between; ability, abled and disabled; race, all races included; status, single or married; profession, waitress, business people; gender; dance ability, good or ok or bad; and just everyone included... including deaf! That's why the dance challenge was so cool. They included everyone. And I can tell you the deaf community loved being included!

Fun fact: Ryan Gosling wore Jimin's outfit when he played Ken in the Barbie movie. In return for wearing the outfit, Ryan gifted Jimin Ken's guitar and gave him a shoutout. Another fun fact: After the release of PTD, Elton John tweeted: "When it all seems like it's right, I sing along to BTS" in reply to the line in the song that mentions when it all seems like it's wrong sing along to Elton John

The sheer inclusiveness and soothing way foreword from the pandemic in this is pure BTS. Even putting some sign language in the choreography (something deaf Army we’re happily shocked by). They show all walks of life but especially children the elderly office workers (in a disability services office) waitresses etc. So. Very. Inclusive and kind. And yes the fandom and the world needed this. If you are curious the 18 min presentation they did alongside the previous president of S. Korea at the UN general assembly about the Sustainable Development Goals is really good. They are some of the UNs most viewed KZfaq videos and used their audience to talk about such important things. So incredibly proud of them. Yes. So. Much. Laundry. 😂 JK has also done laundry on Live. They did laundry in American Hussle Life.

@@mandeefarley1399 more than once! He was doing laundry while Tae and Jhope were over on live at his house. Another time he sat folding his CK underwear on live just super JK casual. And Jhope showed us how he washes his socks in the hotel sink and hangs them to dry out after a performance. Jin wandered into his hotel room/live to lend him his pink dish washing gloves he brings to do his dishes laundry in hotel rooms. The literal most broke ass humble hilarious chaotic people. Keep in mind this was right after one of the sold out Permission to Dance LA stadium shows. Where they made tens of millions and they are all still hand washing their socks in hotel sink with hotel shampoo. 😂

I love that they used sign language for this song! I've noticed that V uses it casually from time to time when he's talking, and I find myself wondering if he's continued learning or possibly fluent in it? It's just another thing that makes them so special!

FYI...... V is a Baby Whisper. Kids love V and V LOVES kids. Also, a fun fact about the UN doors that they go out of. There are 7 ornamental doors given to the UN by Canada. They are created in Nickel and Bronze as Canada is a primary producer of Nickel. You will find that the number 7 comes up in many things in this world and even in space. Seriously, they have found galaxies that look like the number seven and many other things that link back to them. To us it proves that the guys are Beyond an "ordinary" boy band. They were destined to come together and provide the world love , joy, and understanding along with great music!

I can't get any of the girls i work with get into BTS but they do enjoy PTD, Butter and Dynamite. And we chair dance in the office when i play the concert on the lobby TV. I work at an outpatient mental health clinic and people leave happy when those songs are playing. BTS found 3 of our teen clients through that concert and their parents have come in amazed at how it's helped the kids. I have other BTS songs that are my favorites but the stories behind these just make me so happy and they really do hype up the whole office!💜💜💜 I love watching them with kids! Tae in particular is just amazing with them. It's so endearing.

@@MasterGo89 awwww thank you! I love being able to share what helped me with our patients. Watching them as BTS finds them when they need them is everything! I used to have horrible panic attacks that would last for days. The one coping technique that really helped was repeating the fan chant over and over. It's immensely calming and has never failed to help me through.

The Permission to Dance video was so important at that time. All the regular people featured were the hardest hit during the pandemic: the elderly, children, postal workers, restaurant workers, and schools. They wanted people to know they were seen.

This song was such a deep breath, and liberation for me(and a millions of Armys) , when it was release ! Just one month after the end of the second lockdown in my country It was really a permission to live again, to dream again, and made project for the future. A healing song, for sure. My 2 theories on Namjoon's tennis ball hair color: It's the color of a cactus blossom. In the desert sunlight they have an almost fluorescent glow. Or, it's the one detail in this Southwest flavored video that says "K-pop!" There's a video showing some pictures of the process of building this laundromat from the ground up, bringing in cactus, making a sand dune, etc. to give the impression of the Southwest US. [Which reminds me - Bookish Theories has an explanation video that includes the significance of the laundromat!] Thanks for pointing out the commodes-turned-planters! I'd missed that feature. There are also pink yard flamingoes behind the laundromat. Someone really did their homework, because they even included a big mural painted by home talent on a wall outdoors. There's one in every small town in Texas and Oklahoma I've visited. They usually have slogans painted on, and this one has song lyrics. 😊💜

En la parte final del MV quienes bailan con ellos son algunas personas de su staff, del equipo de producción e incluso directivos de su empresa; las vibras que da reflejan el buen ambiente con que estuvieron trabajando. La presentación en la ONU se pretendía hacer en directo durante la Asamblea, pero por los movimientos que debían hacer ellos y las cámaras, aún con la asistencia reducida por temas de la pandemia resultaba complicado. Por ello lo grabaron y se presentó dentro de la participación de BTS como representantes diplomáticos de Corea del Sur (viajaron con esa calidad acompañando a su presidente) dentro del segmento inaugural de la Asamblea. Para grabarlo tuvieron que hacerlo en corto tiempo y coordinándose para no interferir con la logística de preparación de la Asamblea, así que bajaron del avión, fueron a su hotel a cambiarse y directo a la ONU, ese día grabaron la primera parte que es la del interior. Como ya era noche se fueron a descansar para grabar al día siguiente lo que faltaba y su pasó a edición; mientras los chicos estudiaron para su participación, descansaron y temprano ya estaban en la ONU para su participación.

I am 2 days late and here i am now watching your reaction. I became army in permission to dance era(although the first song of bts that i heard was Euphoria). You'll find many people who will probably say that they don't really like the song and they expected more from the boys(for idk what reason?) But they tend to forget that this song was filmed during a difficult time, when the boys were just trying to spread hope, positivity and happiness around the world literally putting at risk their health, encouraging people to dance with those simple dance moves, also incorporating the sign language, the purple balloons referring of course to us army, the frontliners/people at work in the mv etc...there were so many beautiful details and these always make my heart warm. Ptd era will always be one of my fav since it was the time i got into bts and i still remember my baby army days. Thank you for your precious reaction, master!🫶🏼💜

Permission To Dance was written by Ed Sheeran and was given to BTS as a gift. Actually the 2nd song Sheeran has given to BTS. There was a #PermissionToDanceChallenge where Elton John was shown on the video. Other personalities like Jabbawockeez and influencers worldwide joined the challenge as well. BTS managers including Bang Shiyuk joined the MV. Stamped at 7:58 their managers were at J-hope's back dancing to PTD.

I absolutely love this song!! I remember the night it came out, I was dancing all night (and I'm an older Army, so don't do that). It was right in the middle of the pandemic and it was such a breath of fresh air. It was seriously like the boys knew how hard it was and wanted to make everyone feel better. I had a 3 hour car ride the next day and just had this on repeat. It was so bright and cheerful! 💜💜💜

I mean I get it that there is definitely a different feel to the songs to appeal to a wider audience, and I think that feel is just the language! This song ment so much to do many people that it would be a shame not to honor it in understanding the deeper meanings. @MasterGo89 For Real. All the back up dancers had to go through major security checks to be there. Those dancers had clean slates! Nothing on their records. Zero. Purity. Interestingly enough. They didn't even audition. They had to know somebody who referred them as an already great dancer. So they all got to be surprised when they got chosen!

@MasterGo89 Also. The set was built from zero. They found this place and moved dirt around and created this desert area and old stores. With the pandemic no one in the world could fly anywhere! So they created their own location. I don't know if you understood the very last shot. Those were all the staff and crew and designers and everyone who made the MV come true. Even Mr. Bang was on the last row.

HI!, In general in your reactions, please interrupt a little less. You did a good job with House of Cards. I noticed a few times you missed important things because you were talking over them. It's also better to get a sense of a scene or portion before saying anything, and your listeners appreciate it too because we are watching. Thanks.
